Board of Peace planning theft and ethnic cleansing

Featured Replies

Heavily abridged. URL in title.

[Opinion. And they haven’t even done anything yet. Nothing like ruling Gaza from Washington by nobody but Trump’s cabal. Those other nations figured there were better ways to spend a billion. This is a real estate deal in cahoots with Tricky Bibi.]

Trump’s Board of Peace plans to grant itself sweeping immunity, documents show

Draft resolution seeks to shield board members and security forces from potential prosecution for work in Gaza

Cate Brown and Aram Roston

The Guardian: 27 Jun 2026

The UN-sanctioned Board of Peace announced by Donald Trump earlier this year to rule Gaza is planning a sweeping grant of legal immunity for itself. The draft language would also let the organization obtain public property in Gaza “free of charge”.

The Guardian is anti-Trump.

I'll take a pass on this hypothesis for now.

Let's wait to see how The Board of Peace plays out.

Also may depend on which other countries join ...

Surely not with upright citizens such as Blair involved?

Yeah but all other countries have their current leaders there (as far as I know).

Blair is a former leader. What's he doing there? Spying on Trump?

Seems suspicious to me.

And he's the only Western leader on there. Western countries don't seem to like what Trump is doing.

Well the Arabs said they didn't want him (TB )

but a visit to Trump followed.

Shaping up nicely !

I'm not even sure Israel likes it. But it means they don't have to deal with the Palestinians face-to-face and there's somebody else to take the blame.

I wouldn't say most countries don't like it. Most countries see it as a useless effort.

It's telling that not one single country has signed on.

What do you mean?

Most Middle East countries have signed on.

A few ASEAN countries (not Thailand).

NO Western countries (not sure what that means exactly).

It means that open bribes are less accepted in Western Europe than in the middle east.
