Thai gyms are great in small towns. Super friendly staff, cheap and no creeps or cavemen.

If he's being honest and has a legitimate concern, answer to help.

These topics start out okay, then end up being trolled and getting personal, with the usual assumptions and insults. "You can't find a girlfriend, must be gay, loser, lonely, live 30 kilos from a 7-11 in Nakon Nowhere, with some actually insulting other's wives, something they would pay for in person but cowardly do here.

Everyone here knows how addictive a phone can be, and some are on them 24/7, so it's easily understood his dilemma. Adults don't act this way. 25yo Thais play with their phone a lot. On skytrains, in restaurants and in gyms etc. Her behaviour is very common. It is also her life. The OP is not looking for advice as her behaviour is none of his business. It is also normal for a Thai who speaks little English to be wary of a strange foreigner after 8pm.

Bottom line, most of the muppets you’re describing hate themselves and their utterly miserable lives. So all they can manage is throwing guff at everyone else. Exactly. In my gym, I have never seen a Thai girl not playing with her phone. It doesn't matter what age they are, what time of day or night it is, or whether they are actively doing sets or resting between them—the phone is always out.

I've apologized for going on and on at times defending myself and my life against these weirdos, which upset a few here, so I'm ignoring them when they start going off with their sickness. It does get old and no one wants to see topics deflected. He calls it attacks when defending myself yet is insulted by the same troll himself. I'm sure they're the same in person, which is a very sad state of affairs. Take out the assumptions, lies and exaggerations and all that's left is the usernames.

If i take the gf on a bike ride i pack the power bank cause her charge is 5% after 3 hours. She takes pics all the time.

I rest my case. Love how they reply and further dig their own holes. Won't answer questions, so obviously hiding something. Wondering why I won't interact with liars and trolls. Has a job , which is illegal here besides a few positions which require a work permit, but won't come out and say that. Yep - but there are levels. Foreigners also do it at the gym. I had two "Gym Friends" that were different than the rest. Most foreigners peak at their phones periodically (every 10-20 minutes ) but these two were constantly scrolling and liking. They were addicted to "liking" content and knew that the more they liked the more likes and friends they acquired. They both also joined every challenge and club possible on an exercise app all of us used. Pages and pages of clubs and challenges on their profile page. It was a fulltime job just keeping up with all the content being delivered to their phone from their "friends" and they had thousands of "friends". Both must have right thumb arthritis.

People like this are ruining their time here that is short. For those that take in content with sincere interest then probably not an issue. I wouldn't know because I rarely use my phone.

Living here, I see the locals always on their phones and the foreigners mostly hanging around one exercise machine and talking to each other most of the time they're there. Back home, it of course was all Americans, half on phones and half working out. The ones on the bikes and treadmills talking or scrolling on the phones, but at least they were moving. Spending so much time on media instead of actually talking with others isn't a good thing.
