That's the mystery. FIFA aren't powerless. The US's absence from the world football stage wouldn't make a blind bit of difference.

USA lost to a better team but the argument still lives . How fast the left went to blaming everything on the GOAT Trump, as the news trickles in on other instances of Fifa decisions.

😂 Sure thing 😂 UEFA and the individual European football associations will take orders from the White House. Perhaps, Trump could pick Norway's team for them on Saturday (that should guarantee an England win).

As for the media. I don't think that El Pais, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Libération and numerous others got the Don's missive.

Anyway, please call it a day. My sides can't take much more😂

To show you the totality of the absurd rejection of Fifa authority by the international lefts complaints, the complaining European football authorities can interfere in the FiFa rulings , one way is through Boycotts . akin to holding FiFA hostage.

Gemini AI:

Does any european football authority have power to overrule Fifa?

"FIFA (the International Federation of Association Football) is the supreme governing body for football worldwide. When it comes to the rules of the game, international tournament sanctions, or global player eligibility, FIFA's word is legally binding on all its members.

However, the dynamic between UEFA and FIFA is unique. While UEFA cannot directly "overrule" FIFA, it holds immense leverage and can challenge, bypass, or pressure FIFA in specific ways":

Absolutely. Six of the eight quarter finalists are European. Boot's (pun intended) on the other foot when it comes to football. No UEFA participation, no credibility, no interest.

How are you going to do that?

But you may have a point. Separation might be a good idea given Infantino's antics. Maybe it's time for Europe (UEFA) to get rid of FIFA. You can't survive without us.

Yes, many of the top European clubs are American owned but what are these owners going to do? Move Liverpool FC to Los Angeles? Try to hold UEFA (PL, La Liga, etc) to ransom by refusing to participate in competitions? I think not.

😂 No. To quote a phrase which was popular on this side of the pond a decade ago: 'They need us more than we need them'.

Difference is that in this case it's true.

I'm impressed by your fortitude as it will be a long wait. European dominance in football (on and off the pitch) isn't likely to end soon.

Don't get me started about "hydration breaks"😤

Yes, Wembley would be great for a Superbowl or anything other than football. It's a dump - albeit not as big a dump as it's previous iteration - which is a bugger to get to and where you pay an arm and a leg for sub-standard service. Apart from that it's fine.

Most of my comments are tongue-in-cheek, however being serious for a moment.

Yes, there will most likely be increased US ownership of European clubs but what difference will it make? The Raiders moved from LA to Las Vegas; a similar move e.g. Liverpool FC to LA would not be possible. US owners are positive about a European Super League. Yes, but the nationality of the owners is unimportant as the owners of Real, Barca, etc also favour such a move. (Imo it is inevitable).

The centre of football will remain rooted in Europe because currently only Europe has the talent, infrastructure, culture, support and finance to allow football to thrive as both a business and a sport. Other regions may have 2, 3, maybe 4 of those attributes but not all 5, and I suspect that this will remain the case for a lot longer than 10 years.

Finally, a Man U fan. My sincere condolences. I hope that you make a full recovery in time😉
