I’m sure most do by now. There just aren’t that many really ignorant people around. They got fooled. They were conned, and now they know it, but…

…after standing on a soapbox swearing blind loyalty to trump and all he stands for, it’s simply too embarrassing to admit they they were victimized.

Because we don't have inside information. That's why it's called "insider trading."

Why should Iran make a deal?

Especially since Israel will not agree to any permanent peace agreement that includes Lebanon for which Iran insists.

Because he's not among the people who are informed about Trump's statements before he makes them? 😃

Because only those in his inner circle know the next move before it's announced and so they have time to buy/sell/put accordingly

Trump’s presidency did not occur in a vacuum. In a democracy, leadership is not merely the product of those who cast votes for a candidate, but the culmination of societal forces, historical inequities, and collective inaction.

While it is tempting to place blame solely on the individuals who supported Trump at the polls, the reality is far more complicated. By examining voter apathy, entrenched inequities, the modern media landscape, and outdated institutional structures, it becomes evident that each American plays some role in the broader public responsibility for enabling Trump’s rise, and for the subsequent damage wrought by his administration.

At the heart of any democracy lies a social contract. Citizens agree to remain informed, vote, and hold their leaders accountable. In return, they expect fair representation and a government that addresses the public’s needs.

Over the years, that unwritten pact has frayed. Millions of Americans did not vote in the 2016 election. Some absences were due to frustration with the political system, others out of a sense of futility, or more notably the fruition of years of disenfranchisement campaigns designed to keep voters from the polls.

The combination of widespread disengagement and disillusionment created a vacuum that allowed a smaller, more energized faction of the electorate to determine the country’s trajectory. That vacuum was not filled overnight.

Democratic engagement in the United States has been on a downward trend for decades, with midterm elections often drawing only a fraction of eligible voters. Community-level activism waned in many parts of the country, allowing local issues to fester unchecked.

By the time Trump began his campaign, he was able to tap into simmering resentments and cynicism about “the establishment.” For every American who saw through his rhetoric, there may have been a neighbor, coworker, or relative who — facing a lack of consistent information and feeling ignored by mainstream politics — opted to believe his promises.

Even those who recognized Trump’s shortcomings should bear some responsibility if they did not work hard enough to enfranchise the disenfranchised, or work to promote reforms that encourage fairer voting practices.

an awareness of how an entire society can enable such a presidency is essential to preventing its recurrence. Accountability can begin in everyday spaces.

Agree. Trump is only a symptom not the actual problem. Which is a bigly bad problem looking at the toxicity of the main symptom and the political sepsis it has infected the US with.

Putting your excellent and extensive argument more concisely: every American over 18 years of age either Created, Allowed, or Promoted this calumny. It's called the CAP principle, I believe it comes from accounting/bookkeeping.

It will only get worse as long as everyone is blaming each other rather than asking what their own role in it was - and still is.

Because the SEC is headed by a Trump appointee?

I think the problem seems to be that very few can actually see the bigger picture and what is actually going down. It's incremental. Like these types always do. And I'm referring here to the people behind Trump rather than him specifically. He's almost a Hindenburg type figure in the rhyming of history.

I think Trump is a Bottler gives it big on his social media and the Yanks lap it up. In reality he tried to bluff and threaten Iran then lost his bottle for a scrap. You dont tell an enemy where your going to strike thats madness.

Everyone fails to appreciate DJT's nuanced political strategy and subtle military tactics. And darn right he's going to get a deal, all because he put his name on that book that somebody else wrote for him.

He might as well gone the full hog MikeandDow and give the Iranians the time the Assault choppers will be overhead lol.

37 times that Trump said a deal with Iran is imminent. This weekend will pass with no deal. Iran will never give up the uranium and Trump's must have a no uranium deal. This dance will go on for longer or war will re-ignite as Trump get frustrated. The world will adjust to the oil, fertilizer and helium shortages. Trump will not survive the political pressure or he may choke on a Big Mac. The Iran war will add to his resume of failures and will solidified his standing as the worst President in US

There is NO deal !! there maybe a MoU which is not legally binding the next stage is a deal again not legally binding and finally a contract which is legally binding until you have a contract the rest mean nothing

Trump promises 'great' Iran deal:

https://www.al-monitor.com/originals/2026/06/trump-announces-great-iran-deal-signing-expected-europe

I'm willing to bet good money that:
a) this 'great' deal will not be better than the situation was before Bibi dragged Trump into this unholy war, and

b) that Trump is going to sell this as a glorious victory, and that Trump is going to keep telling everyone how much he deserves the Nobel peace prize, at the very least.

Just to highlight the kind of narcissistic blowhard we're dealing with here:

This is trumps deal !! Yanks are going to be paying iran for year with there Tax dollars

ran’s Mehr news agency publishes the purported text of the draft agreement with Trump. It will keep the Strait of Hormuz under Iranian control, will promise Iran $300 billion in reconstruction money in addition to an immediate cash transfer of $24 billion, a suspension of sanctions and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Middle East. Also, a commitment not to bother Iran again about its missiles and proxies, and restraining Israel in Lebanon. The U.S. gets in exchange a pinky promise to respect the NPT. Let’s see what happens in coming days.

Why should Iran make a deal? They will keep stalling, Trump will keep threatening, Iran will concede a point or two, Trump will anounce a deal is imminent, talks will stall again, and the cycle will keep spinning. Time is on Iran's side.

I think it's safe to say by now Trump is not making any decisions, the Deep State is controlling him like a willing puppet, and their aim is to create chaos and economic sabotage.

So you say.

But, I for one do not agree.
