You see, just because there's no lobby CCTV footage of someone entering the building shortly after, that doesn't mean he hasn't sort the assistance of a friend who is a neighbor in the building, and there's no corridor CCTV cameras.

I’m sure the cops will talk to him, but imho a full investigation on the basis that he is a suspect is very unlikely. Unless Carmen makes some kind of statement that infers his friend was involved in some way.

Failing that, the guy is a confirmatory witness that he did indeed cancel his lunch appointment with Carmen.

That type of scenario would go against the current story which implies a disagreement over money and then escalation into a fight.
