That's only the case in your dreams and then unfortunately for you you wake up in the morning. Republicans are leaving maggot in droves at this point as the goon is doing very little of what he promised.

Many recent polls including the ones shown here which are mostly done by Fox, which is typically biased towards Don, are showing Trump really underwater with most demographic groups.

So the question is can the Republicans hold on during the midterms with a president who is as deeply unpopular as Trump is right now? I certainly don't think so, and it looks increasingly more possible that the Dems will take both the House and the Senate, leaving Trump doubly impotent.

The best chance that Republicans have is to completely abandon Trump, plead with him to not support them, and do it on their own.

That loss would likely mean the start of impeachment proceedings, major investigations against his family for staggering levels of corruption, and possibly war crime investigations against Hegseth. And it would likely mean the end of MAGA as we know it, and a major level of irrelevance for Trump.

If the Dems took the House and the Senate would the White House janitor even return Trump's calls, much less the leaders of the Senate?
