No. You wrote

"Iran were charging fees ."

Iran hasn't charged any fees yet.

Iran’s insurance requirement carries no fee during that period, but Tehran has confirmed that charges may be imposed once the 60‑day window closes.

End of the story. You lied.

Iran announces plans to bring in maritime fees for strait of Hormuz

As US lifts its blockade, Tehran says fees to cover cost of managing waterway will come into effect at end of 60-day negotiation period

Care to retract your false claim that I lied ?

Reading and interpreting things correctly doesn't seem to be your strong suit. "...announcing plans..."

It doesen't change your lie either when you use big fonts.

YOU Lied

Iran had already begun charging vessels passing through the strait

After delivering detailed information on crew and cargo to intermediaries of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, some vessels were allowed to proceed — and at least two reportedly paid the equivalent of $2 million in Chinese yuan.

It is YOU who is deliberately using big fonts .

My big fonts were automatically from a media C&P , whereas you deliberately enlarged your fonts , NOT me

That wasn't a fee; that was extortion.

The title says - again clearly - Iran's proposal to collect tolls...

Oh I see, Iran were not charging fee, they were charging an extortion , now I see :)

Removing Iran costs money

OK, Iran first bought up the subject of charging fees.

USA forces need to be in the straight to stop Iran charging money , and USA personnel need to be paid to do that

No. Incorrect.

USA and Israel started war against Iran. No fees were charged. Nothing, nada, niente, Zero.

Afterwards (!) Iran closed the strait of Hormuz.

So who is now responsible that fees will be charged?

"thank you for your attention to this matter"

This "discussion" has ended for me.

Lie , lie lie, YOU lied .

It Was Iran who started the war against Israel, it was Iran who first bombed Israel and Israel retaliated .

YOU lied .

Remember, you have bailed out the discussion no coming back :)

Somewhat unhinged it seems. Based on reporting from multiple outlets, the direct fighting that escalated into the 2025–2026 Israel–Iran war began with U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, 2026, which then triggered Iranian retaliation. Similarly your comments on US toll fees seems a little arse about tit likewise. Perhaps get your background info from more reliable sources would help?

Iran had bombed Israel prior to that

Iran first directly attacked Israel on April 13–14, 2024, launching approximately 300 drones and missiles from its territory.

Israel retaliated for that Iranian bombing attack

Sorry. Wrong war. We're talking about the one Trump started.

But you have conveniently omitted why!? April 1, 2024: Israel bombed Iran's consulate annex in Damascus, Syria, killing 16 people including IRGC General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and 6 other IRGC officers. You can keep cherry picking who did what first in history ad infinitum but your arguments for US being in the right for charging 20% tolls fees now is ludicrous. I expect Trump thinks the same and it will be followed soon with a TACO and put down to negotiating rhetoric.

Its the same war .

Israel/USA attacked Iran in retaliation for Iran bombing Israel

Israel attacked IRGC/Hezbollah members who were in the building .

What were IRGC militiamen men doing in Syria ?

They were there to attack Israel

Rubbish. Israel/USA attacked Iran because Bibi told Trump to. Bibi wants more land.

I think you may be assuming too much. Do you really think the USA has the power to "keep the straight open"? It'll be a war zone, and I highly doubt Lloyd's of London or whoever will be issuing policies for those oil tankers.

Its Iran/ Palestine who want more land, they want the land of Israel to be theirs . Thats why they keep attacking Israel

Yes I do , Iran are fighting against USA , Israel. UAE , Saudi Arabia and a few others .

Iran isn't going to win this war

Why? The US couldn’t protect the Gulf States, and they certainly can’t guarantee that Iran won’t attack any shipping transversing the Strait without Iranian permission.

Trump can’t guarantee Jack s**t. So why pay him?

Still no meaningful contribution to the thread , just adding pointless filler

I think history will prove you wrong if the war continues. Hopefully, they'll work out a deal soon and we won't have to find out.
