I think history will prove you wrong if the war continues. Hopefully, they'll work out a deal soon and we won't have to find out.

How could Iran beat the USA in a war ?

Irans missiles cant even reach the USA

Uhhh, the Strait of Hormuz was open before Trump screwed the pooch. And it didn't cost taxpayers a penny. Conclusion: Trump is 💯 Responsible for the Cost LET HIM PAY HE'S THE ONE WHO <deleted>

The USA will be spending a lot of money keeping the straight open , its only fair that the straight users contribute to the costs .

False. Iran wasn't charging fees before Trump started the war. Liar. 😭 "There isn't a nation on Earth that supports having to pay money to go through the straits" --Marco Rubio EXCEPT ONE The

Why? The US couldn’t protect the Gulf States, and they certainly can’t guarantee that Iran won’t attack any shipping transversing the Strait without Iranian permission.

Trump can’t guarantee Jack s**t. So why pay him?

The USA will put their Navy in the straights, thus protecting the ships from Iranian attacks

To keep the strait open must have been one of the THE MAIN GOALS of US forces. So why diden't they send the Navy in the strait starting from day 1?

Please explain. Why not?

This is why I voted for Trump.

A few months ago it was fully open, until this lunatic started a war that he can't win, so now the strait is closed/partially open, royally screwing up the world economy and endangering lives all around the Gulf.

It was Iran who closed the Straight though and it was Iran who stated it must be paid to allow ships through and it was Iran who began the war .

You cannot blame that on Donald

Can you name the last war America won? I can. It was 250 years ago, their war of independence. They haven't won a war since.

No, I do not include WW2 because everyone was in that war.

Warfare has changed. Just look at Vietnam, with the guerilla warfare tactics. Despite Vietnam having no air force and no navy, they won. Hanoi and The Ho Chi Minh Trail was carpet bombed, to no avail.

Should America put boots on the ground in Iran, it will go the same way as Vietnam, and more recently, Afghanistan, eventually another embarrassing retreat.

Then, there is the political war back home. With Saddam it was his weapons of mass destruction - never found.

With Iran, it's Iran is making a nuclear bomb - not true, and if true, didn't that get taken care of ages ago with the stealth bomber dropping huge bombs down air shafts on a mountain. It's the same BS they fed the world with Saddam.

When American kids start coming back in body bags from Iran, the protests will start in America because why should American kids die for the likes of Haliburton shareholders?

Look what Israel have done. Flattened huge swathes of land, yet Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime are still there.

History shows you will never win a land war in Asia, and that's not about to change anytime soon.

For the record, I am not anti America, but I do disagree with, and I'm critical of, a lot of their foreign policy.

  1. That hasn’t worked so far.

  2. The Iranians only wanted to charge a fraction of what Trump wants to charge, and it was totally free until Trump decided to attack.

  3. Let’s see if they try and stop any Chinese ships passing through. That’s if the US economy doesn’t totally collapse before then.

I don't know .

I expect Trump thinks the same and it will be followed soon with a TACO and put down to negotiating rhetoric.

Told you he would.

Trump also says he has decided to "replace the 20% US reimbursement fee with trade and investment deals" from Gulf countries.

Meanwhile Dubai may be giving up on the Hormuz Strait.

Though what happens if they build this new port then the Hormuz Strait reopens?

All that money for a new port then no-one uses it.

Dubai is planning to build a new port and terminal in Fujairah to circumvent Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz. This initiative by DP World follows significant disruptions to the vital shipping route, which handles one-fifth of the world's oil, due to US-Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent Iranian retaliatory actions.

The project aims to lessen the UAE's dependence on its main Jebel Ali port and avoid transit through Hormuz, which has experienced recent attacks, including an Iranian missile strike on Jebel Ali.

The UAE has been heavily affected by Iranian retaliatory strikes, with reports of nearly 3,000 drones or missiles fired at the country, alongside recent attacks on oil tankers in the region.

DP World is set to invest hundreds of millions of dollars initially, signifying a major strategic shift for the UAE, though officials confirm Jebel Ali will retain its importance.

Trump scraps threat of 20% fee on Hormuz cargo

Just kidding.

-- The Stable JENIUS

Trump did it again, how can somebody govern like that with constantly changing the narrative, yesterday it was 20% security fee, today he changed his mind, as his close cronies may have told/remind him what he said before... 5 times he changed his narrative about the strait, let's wait until tomorrow to see the next one, maybe he will raise the fee to 50% 😅😅

Having flipped his stance on the Hormuz toll five times in just three months, confusion in the international community and markets has grown.

and what does this so called investment by gulf states in the USA has to do with the security fee that was to be paid by the shipping companies, it's a mess and I mean a big mess from a senile man

he reversed his position within a day, stating, “Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and others have agreed to invest more in the U.S.,” and abolished the toll.

Calling Obama's MOU “the best deal ever made by a POTUS” is not a measurable fact and highly partisan and debatable depends on what you value most nonproliferation or long-term strategy, enforcement & geopolitics

Don't worry your pretty little head about Obama's great achievements Donnie and get back to your little reality TV show and golf. 🤭

No, but Trump was talking about the world's greatest MOU which was the Obama deal, since Kushner hasn't consummated this deal with MBS yet 🫡

President Barack Obama had an international agreement with Iran, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2015. The IAEA verified that Iran complied with the core nuclear restrictions during the early years of the accord.

In 2018 the Trump administration withdrew this agreement. The MOU (memory of understanding) was only a 60 days window to make a much better deal.

He killed the agreement to start war with Iran.
