Featured Replies

Thai citizens will be able to apply for criminal record checks online from 15 July 2026, after the Criminal Records Division launches a new digital service through its official website. The system is designed to make it easier for people who need criminal record certificates for job applications, official procedures or other transactions, with results delivered directly by email.

The Criminal Records Division said the new service marks a major step in moving public services into the digital era. Applicants will be able to submit requests online using their full name and Thai national identification number, removing the need for many in-person visits.

The online service will be available through the official Criminal Records Division website at www.crd.go.th/bg/landing. The application process has been designed to be straightforward, with four main steps aimed at providing a secure and efficient service.

Applicants must first complete an online request form through the website. They must then verify their identity either by using the ThaiD mobile application or by entering the Laser Code printed on the back of their Thai national identity card together with the required verification details.

Once identity has been confirmed, users can pay the application fee using a range of online payment options. These include Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, QR Code payment, Bill Payment through participating banks, bank counters and ATM machines.

After payment has been processed, the Criminal Records Division will send the criminal record check directly to the applicant’s email address. The document will include a Digital Signature to provide security and verify its authenticity.

The new online platform is intended to improve convenience for Thai citizens who regularly require criminal record checks as part of employment applications or other official administrative procedures. By allowing applications, payment and document delivery to be completed online, authorities aim to reduce waiting times and simplify access to the service.

Komchadluek reported that The Criminal Records Division confirmed the platform will officially begin operating on 15 July 2026. People wishing to use the service can access it through the division’s official website from that date and follow the four-step application process to receive their certified criminal record check electronically.
