What's the rush? more importantly why even get married? it's mainly for women, you'll have more power and therefore a better relationship if you don't get married

skip the whole shebang and give the lady all your stuff. Saves coin on the marriage/divorce process.

So, no chance he's a God fearing Christian and doesn't want a child out of wedlock then. 😂

Well, normally a true god fearing christian would have just used the "back door" until the nuptials were completed so its looking unlikely, but even if she was unlucky enough to be fertilised by a bit of delayed anal "leakage " he still had plenty of time to sort out marriage before she started to show.

Late term abortions are frowned upon here so she could be travelling abroad for that maybe ?

Join the Running club, reckon. 😄

Could probably get an abortion done up country too, if that's what is needed. most villages have an old woman that will "take care of things" if required

Running away is not an option at this stage , the loss of face for his fiance's family would be unbearable for them. He would have to leave Thailand or spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder

I think you are referring specifically to Greek Orthodox. I meant Christians in general. 😂

No not greek orthodox specifically , I thought everybody used that method, that was what my first (uk) wife told me , before we were married,

Me and my current Thai wife waited 20 years before tying the knot, She's a lot happier now I can tell you

If she's a lot happier now, that means you are less happy now. 😂

By Elvis!

Some "churches" offer different actors or singers. Elvis is very popular indeed, also Michael Jackson, Britney aso. However, within 1 hr you have to take who's available.🤣

Vega honeymoon, what could be a better vacay? Bring your life savings!

My now Thai wife and I were together for 40 years and only married 2 years ago,

as you have to be sure she the right one ...the real reason I never bothered to

divorce my English wife, and she never found anyone better than me , so she

never needed a divorce, only got married so my wife could more easily sort things

out when I pop off. why would anyone want to marry in haste ,does not have

the money for retirement visa so going the marriage route at half the price,

but could prove more costly....

I suppose it depends on whether or not she has had a big Thai curry for dinner as to what door you will chose. 😂

It seems he wants to get his girlfriend a visa to Canada, if you look at his previous thread. That is why he wants to marry her and get her over there sooner rather than later.

Time is your friend in this case, I would say, so do not rush.

lot of weird responses and conjecture but guess this is how some of you amuse yourselves, my fiance is a literal kindergarten teacher and we've been together over 3 years and now I want to get her to Canada as my moms health is bad, getting married just helps with a lot of headaches and doubt from my government who in their wisdom will let any criminal into the country without so much as a criminal record check but treats Thai women like pariahs and scrutinises them for an entire year.

This whole making you wait thing is fairly recent and its just to pressure you into using an agent so they get kick backs, everyone has gotten incredibly greedy. Many district offices are all doing it this way, I've yet to find one that doesn't. I would have slid 3k baht into someones hands to speed it up but 24k is so ridiculously greedy I just cant on principle.
