People need to be asking who the puppeteers are, who actually made the decisions, and why, to confer all this on such an utterly unremarkable man. Hence the above video.

Get to the point can't you? No need for video clips and whodunnit games. It's the deep state wef soros thing isn't it?

There has been no countrywide vote in favour of Burnham. The "people" have yet to speak on this.

The last GE was a rejection of the Conservatives far more than any endorsement of Starmer (33.7%).

Burnham was not even standing for Parliament.

We've just been shunted from Two-Tier Kier over to Back Door Burnham.

So, with that in mind, I think we're probably be in even deeper poo!

The only British who actually vote for the Prime Minister are the ones on the electoral roll of his constituency. It's always been that way. Saying anything otherwise and bleating about any of them having "no mandate" or "no popular support" is just hot air, with most of that emanating from Nigel's arse.

Let’s have a link to support your claim Burnham refused to have an inquiry into grooming gangs.

Cobblers. Most GE's will run with the party leaders (and policies) known in advance. GE votes can be won by the popular candidate, party, or both.

I'm torn on this one.

The Conservatives didn't call an election after Liz Truss resigned and Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister. So what's good for the Goose etc.

However, Burnham is pushing such a drastically different agenda to the manifesto of Kier Starmer, that perhaps a General Election should be called.

It isn't cobblers. Your argument is that all British voters should have a say in who becomes the PM. They do not, never have and never will. Pay attention to the reality of the British electoral processes and not the desperate honking of the unelectable right wing cohort.

I thought the big concern was that Burnham's agenda, like his cabinet selection, is largely the stuff of media rumour and speculation. So how do you know if anything is going to be 'drastically different'?

About a different candidate for Prime Minister. About a different programme for government.

Come on Chomper, you know better than to hide behind such "Bagehotian" glibness!

Yours was amongst the loudest voices calling for Johnson, Truss and Sunak to face the electorate.

I never called for Johnson, Truss or Sunak to call an election.

Never interrupt an enemy while they are making a mistake.

Apart from the last Conservative administrations which had 3 leaders with 3 distinct sets of policies
