No Jeff, what YOU posted was untrue.

What I posted was true

"Red line" wasn't even mentioned in the link you posted

It wasn't red line .

The word used was MAYBE .

I have already explained what the word maybe means .

You changed the word "maybe" to Red line .

Your right, Red line was written by me.

The post quoted by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was,

"It may not be possible for Israel to establish relations with Saudi Arabia in light of the violence in Judea and Samaria"

Not MAYBE as you say, or It"may not" be or maybe possible for Israel to establish relations with Saudi Arabia in light of the violence in Judea and Samaria

Let me repeat that: "It may not be possible for Israel to establish relations with Saudi Arabia in light of the violence in Judea and Samaria"

What I posted was true , here's the requested evidence that Israel and Saudi were having peace talks

Saudi Arabia and Israel quietly prepare ‘deal of the century’

Global Insight investigates a major yet secretive new alliance between Saudi Arabia and Israel intended to bring peace to a tumultuous region and make Saudi Arabia the uncontested leader of the Middle East.

As countries in the Middle East move to re-position themselves to face new perceived threats, a major new alliance, and one previously considered implausible, appears to be emerging. The conservative Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is signalling it can strike an unprecedented peace deal with Israel, a country that is still known in some Saudi books as the ‘Zionist Enemy’.

Israeli-Saudi Peace Deal, With Steven A. Cook

Steven A. Cook, the Eni Enrico Mattei senior fellow for Middle East and Africa studies at CFR, sits down with James M. Lindsay to discuss the ongoing negotiations to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Is that enough requested evidence or shall I provide more

Ah, bless, to quote a well known poster on this forum:

I post on forums to talk to real people, rather than just to read and reply to newspaper reports .

If you cant even be bothered to write something yourself, then I certainly aren't going to be bothered to read it and reply to it .

Ends up with me spending all my time just reading media reports and replying to the points journalist makes posted by someone who cant even be bothered to write himself and just C&P's

This is nothing to do with Israel . This is about the USA and Saudi Arabia

Israel already recognises Saudi Arabia's right to exist , now just waiting for Saudi Arabia to recognise Israel's right to exist . Israel and Saudi Arabia were well on their way to signing peace

Ya know, what, it's just like dismantling nukes. If Israel thinks it's the most civilised nation, it should make the overtures, nothing to do with the US.

All this explaining I need to keep doing is tiring :

I wrote my opinion myself and you asked me to provide links inline with forum rules .

I provided the links you requested ....................then you criticise me for providing the links you requested !!!!!!

Do have a rest then, but before you do, go back over the timeline so you can see when and who posted what.

As an aside, I am reading the links you posted and will report back later.

Clearly you want to split hairs, it is not "may not" or "not definitely not" it is one sentence, "It may not be possible for Israel to establish relations with Saudi Arabia in light of the violence in Judea and Samaria"

You really should have knowledge already about subjects before you comment .

You also need to study what words mean before you comment .

You don't know what words mean and you have no knowledge of the subject you are commenting on .

Its mightily frustrating trying to talk to you

Jeff , can you tell the difference between these two sentences ?

It may not be possible for Israel.............

It definitely will not be possible for Isreal..............

Do those two sentences mean the same thing or is there any difference between the two ?

Can you spot the difference ?

Do the words "maybe" and definitely mean the same thing ?

Thank you for your incite.

If Trump took 10% of the effort he puts in to looking after Netanyahu, and put it into US healthcare, Yanks could have the same as the other 32/33 wealthiest nations.......??

Jeff : I am completely fully aware of that Blinken has said .

You told me twice yesterday and four times already in the last hour .

I fully understand what he said ,I fully understood it when you first told me yesterday .

I understand what Blinken said, OK ?

No need to keep telling me

The reason I have posted the above is:

20 hours ago, Nick Carter icp said:

Israel already recognises Saudi Arabia's right to exist , now just waiting for Saudi Arabia to recognise Israel's right to exist .

Israel and Saudi Arabia were well on their way to signing peace deal, that was until Palestinians deliberately scuppered that peace del by invading Israel and causing the current war

Not according to A. Blinken, as posted, in the article 3 months before the current conflict started.

But why post it four times in 1 hour ?

When you have a discussion , do you just keep shouting the same thing over and over again and get louder and louder with every repeat ?

To back up my claim :

To show I am correct :

The October 7, 2023, attack led by Hamas heavily disrupted the active U.S.-brokered normalization talks between Israel and Saudi Arabia. While the assault and subsequent war paused that diplomatic momentum, views differ on whether derailing the talks was a primary goal of the attack or part of a wider set of motivations by Hamas.

  1. The Talks: Prior to October 2023, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United States were engaged in high-level discussions regarding a potential normalization and security agreement. [1, 2]

  2. Palestinian Position: Palestinian leadership and negotiators expressed deep concern that a bilateral Israel-Saudi deal would bypass the core Palestinian issue and leave the decades-long occupation unresolved.

Do you not see the point I am making, you accused the Palestinians of deliberately scuppering the current peace deal, when clearly they didn't, according to Blinken, Israel had already upset the Saudi's in the Occupied Territories by doing what they do against International Law.

Talks were still progressing .

Saudis may have been upset, but they didn't end negotiations or pull out of talks .

Talks were still underway and progressing .

Saudi ended talks after Oct 7 2023 , when Palestine caused war with Israel

Opinion is a wonderful thing, we all have one.

Its actual facts, rather than just an opinion .

I watched the progress in real time from the beginning .

Saudi and Israel were in peace talks .

This infuriated Iran and Palestine .

Iran /Palestine caused a war which ended the peace talks

So why haven't the talks started up again?

Now there is a ceasefire in place in Gaza what's stopping Saudi Arabia agreeing to recognize Israel?

As you probably do not know, Saudia are warring with Iran .

Conflict between the two .

If Saudi now befriend Israel, there is the concern from Saudi that the whole Muslim World may turn against them and unite with Iran .

Neutral Countries would side with Iran if Iran and Saudi had all out war .

So, better for Saudi to leave the Israel issue side for now
