Trump says Iran to pay for ship damage

July 24 (UPI) -- The United States and Iran traded attacks Thursday night and Friday morning, as President Donald Trump announced that damage inflicted by Iran on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz would be paid with U.S.-held Iranian assets.

U.S. Central Command said its latest wave of attacks, which were completed at 9 p.m. EDT Thursday, lasted for about two hours, 15 minutes, during which its forces hit Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communications networks, coastal surveillance sites and maritime capabilities.

charge em for damage to assets in the neigboring countries as well ,screw them for all their assets

Excellent news, maybe it will stop them firing missiles and drones at civilian ships?

However, I dont think it will as the IRGC are total lunatics!

I doubt they will care. Even the most even minded of Iranian leaders have almost certainly realised that there isn't a snowball in hells chance of the USA ever returning any of the Iranian assets which it holds.

I rather suspect that this is merely a precursor to those assets being cashed in and transferred to the US defence funding.
