Why would anyo9ne hate Texas? It's huge, has all the food in the world, great fishing, hunting, live music, scenery, beaches, friendly people, lakes, rivers, mountains, and clean air. Alabama is nice, although I only hunted there once and the people were friendly. New England is beautiful but too cold too long. The US is still much the same as it's ever been, besides localized nonsense and politics hurting things. You haven't been there in decades, so you couldn't know.

Everybody knows this.

Look at how many have been moving to Texas, from California, the Midwest and East in the last two decades. You've never been there so you haven't the slightest what Texas offers. It's still a lot of wide open spaces, with the only real problems the development around major cities because of that influx.

Texas is comprised of many originally outsiders, hundreds of thousands moved there, along with those who were born there. I was there from 1985-2016, and never had any problems with anyone, and they were as friendly as any I've seen in many other states.

Bordering Mexico, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana has many cultures close by, along with excellent foods.

New England is great for some things, like hunting and fishing, although the cultures are the same throughout. North eastern people. Extreme cold the further north you go, with little to do unless you're a winter sport person from November through April or May. Texas is usually warm like Thailand, with a short winter break where bugs die for awhile and the air is always clean outside the larger metro areas.

Texas has a huge German and Polish constituent, cities largely made up of those cultures.

That pop music culture is everywhere, especially in Thailand, Korea, China and Japan, where morals are thrown out the window, but Texas has a huge country and rock music scene including constant concerts.

Again, if you've never been to Texas, and at least for many decades haven't been back to the US, what you know is in the past.

You could drive around Texas for 2 years daily, all day long, and not see half of it. Some of the most beautiful countryside around the US. Pine woods, beaches, desert, Hill Country, flatlands, mountains, canyons, Brush Country, coastal marshes and bays, huge cities, small villages, rivers, lakes and streams.

I never said I saw any of China besides the airport. I would only be guessing how it is besides from pictures and movies.

Australia has a lot of dangerous animals, whereas America has a few easily avoided. The US has all 4 seasons and many different climate types. I did a solo coast to coast motorbike ride from Miami to LA, diverting via New Orleans, Arkansas and other places on the way, and I felt that away from the coastal States, American people were genuinely very friendly and welcoming.

However, on the East and West coasts I thought the friendliness seemed fake, such as the knee-jerk "you're welcome" whenever you say thank you.

But I'd rank Philippines as equally friendly. And while cultural style means Japan is not overly friendly, I also found the people welcoming, in a Japanese way.

Anywhere in the Gulf and Middle East also has a strong culture of welcoming foreigners, with, ironically, the Iranian people being particularly friendly, except for their toxic officials and government of course.

I've lived and worked in too many countries to remember, but I found most to be friendly with the few exceptions being; Hungary, South Korea and of course France.
