Just a quick question:

Are 'ALL' DLT offices for Drivers License Renewal...by 'appointment only'...(Bangkok or Chiang Mai), or can I 'walk-in' (like I did 5 years ago...?

last month DLT Klaeng accepted walk ins, Pattaya, Chonburi, Rayong all have at least 4 weeks waiting time

The best I could get this morning for Area 3...was November 16 (of this year). I will be up in Chiang Mai in a few weeks. If I have time, I will chance a walk-in, with November as my backup.

It used to be 'so easy'...

Thanks for your replies.

Not at area 3 in Bangkok, foreigners need an appointment, doing it online will be months away. if you go in person you should get one 4-8 weeks

Not at the DLT at Bang Lamung, I went last week, first appointment was the 2nd of September. You could try the many Facebook adverts advertising Thai Driving Licences, no test we do it for you, prices range from 2500 to 5000 baht, mm think it’s a scam. I said pay C.O.D. when my licence arrives, no reply ?

Absolulety a scam... you have to go to LTD in person for the photo!

I renewed mine 5yrs ago with MOT's... Think it was 2500.... they did all the paper and legwork (no tests), I just had to stand in front of the camera.
