Where Did The Jews Come from…Anyway?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Have you ever wondered?

Where did the Jews come from?

Are they so different from you and me?

Why do they consider themselves such an insular and special group of humans?

Did the Jews actually come from Africa, as did all other humans, even the Neanderthals?

Is there any evidence, especially DNA evidence, demonstrating that the Jews are, scientifically speaking, some unique group of people with rights to the “Promised Land” of what is now Israel?

Normally, I do not trust Gemini Pro 3.1 to tell me anything of importance.

However, I will make an exception in this case, just for expediency’s sake.

Here is what Gemini 3.1 PRO has to say on this important Topic….

I asked Gemini this question:

Do people who consider themselves to be Jews, including THE BB, also originate from Africa, as did all other humans?

And, here is the robot’s output:

Primary Mechanism: Recent African Origin

All contemporary human populations, including those identifying as Jewish, trace their ultimate phylogenetic origin to Africa. The scientific consensus in paleoanthropology and population genetics dictates that anatomically modern Homo sapiens emerged in Africa approximately 300,000 years ago. Subsequent migrations out of the continent into Eurasia occurred between 60,000 and 70,000 years ago. Every ethnoreligious group existing today descends from these initial migratory populations.

Supporting Evidence

  • Genomic Lineages: Genetic sequencing confirms that all non-African populations possess genetic lineages representing subsets of the genetic diversity endogenous to Africa. Jewish populations carry foundational mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and Y-chromosome haplogroups derived directly from these basal African lineages.

  • Levantine Ethnogenesis: The specific ethnogenesis of the Jewish people occurred in the Levant during the Bronze and Iron Ages. The ancestral Levantine populations from which Jewish groups emerged were descendants of the earlier Homo sapiens migrations that departed Africa tens of thousands of years prior.

  • Subsequent Demographic Events: Genetic differentiation among modern Jewish subpopulations (e.g., Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi) resulted from later historical migrations, population bottlenecks, and localized admixture with European, North African, and Middle Eastern host populations. These historical demographic events operate entirely upon the foundational genetic architecture established by the species' African origin.

This is why I say that the Jewish People’s Promised land is probably Africa, and not the ME.

Does this not sound logical?

Nobody owns land, or no single group of people owns land.

Surely, the experiences of the Native American indigenous people prove this point.

They thought they owned the land, but found they soon became landless, in a hurry.

Obviously, these days, there are many people in Israel who identify as Jews who think they own land. But do they own the land? Obviously, they do not.

This ownership of land by Israel is a myth propagated from one generation to the next based on bogus logic.

Do you agree or disagree?

We must think about the LOGIC of the argument, and the scientific evidence concerning what it means to be a Jew, and why Jews think they own land which never belongs to anybody.

The BB is very much mistaken, IMHO, concerning this “ownership of land” issue, since he believes he owns ALL the land, from Sea to Shining Sea.

The BB will soon realize that he is very much mistaken…I think.

Best regards,

Gamma

NOTE:  Bulls in China Shops, such as The BB, will be wiped from the face of the earth, eventually…. (just to put this reality into more Biblical language and perspective)...

MORE IMPORTANT NOTE:  Do you not think that the ENTIRE WORLD is now extremely tired of this TRIBAL THINKING, exemplified by the chosen people of Israel?

Yes or No…..????

SUPREMELY IMPORTANT NOTE:  I would pose the question….

In our modern world of weapons of mass destruction, do the risks and disadvantages of religious beliefs and alliances now FAR outweigh any minor advantages?

What say you?

========

Speaking of the advantages of coming out of Africa, I think we can all agree that Africa is our Home Town…common to all humans….And such a beautiful town it once was….!!!!

So....ENJOY.....

Wow, I'm Black and I'm proud.

I lost you when you started talking about the BB, but failed to explain what the hell 'BB' stands for......

Very sorry, but I thought that you had been following my contributions here, rivetingly...for some time.

As we all know,

"Benjamin Netanyahu (born 21 October 1949), nicknamed "Bibi", is an Israeli politician and diplomat who has served as Prime Minister of Israel since 2022."

Now, do you get my drift?

Thank you for asking me for clarification.

Just a goofy rant to incite even more racist Jew hatred.

We all come from the same place if we go far enough back. That proves common human ancestry, nothing more. It does not erase the different cultures and identities that developed later. Jewish identity is not about being genetically pure or a separate kind of human. It is a people held together by family, tradition, religion, history and community. That tribal structure is one reason they survived for thousands of years, even without a country. DNA can show ancestry, but it does not prove ownership of land. Jews have a historical connection to the Levant, and so do Palestinians. Netanyahu and the Israeli government can be criticized without treating all Jews as one people with one mind.

Skin color is nothing to be proud of....IMHO....

What have you done for the world, lately....???

The same can be said for the Han Chinese, of course, and maybe even more so.

One can choose one's culture.

However, once cannot choose to not be human.

Some cultures are better than others, or can be shown to be more resilient than others, as you have correctly stated.

I reserve the right to choose the cultures that I prefer.

Just as an example, I would say that I am not totally enamored with PNG culture, because, otherwise, I would move to Papua New Guinea.

You, Hummin, are most welcome to move to PNG, and enjoy the culture there, any time you wish.

As you say, Hummin, Culture is CRUCIAL......

I found this blog from the 1970s rather interesting....

You are correct, HUMMIN, that it is culture which counts most....

Because, otherwise, we are all equal, and equally primitive.

What do you think?

Do you think that the people from PNG have any claim to the land of Israel, just in case they might be able to prove some LONG-LOST tribal affiliation?

@GammaGlobulin

You can prefer one culture over another, but culture is not always something people simply choose. Most people are born into it, shaped by it, and may later accept, reject or change parts of it.

Israel’s claim is not based on DNA. It is based on historical narratives, wars, terrorism, continuous Jewish ties to the land, political events and decisions, and later partial international recognition, mainly from the West in the beginning. Over thousands of years, shared history can become part of a people’s identity, but that does not automatically settle modern disputes over land.

Ot of their Mummy's Tummy's ...next question.

Study up on your "religious" history a bit and you'll have your answer. The "promise" of land was made to the clan of people known as Judah, (later to be called Jews) by one of the several "gods" (YHWH) that people in the middle eastern region followed. YHWH supposedly made the "promise" that area of the middle east was for this clan of people, and the area was called Canaan. There were other clans of people living in the area but from other clans. The origin of all homo sapiens is currently (?) considered africa. do some research and you can fill in the dots.

Great post, this one of yours.

Nothing to disagree with, I think.

Culture is not chosen, at birth.

However, it is within the realm of possibilities to decide to travel to some other culture, one which one prefers, and enjoy some culture, one which one was not born into.

This is the meaning of freedom, maybe.

Yet, in the USA, for example, one can not so easily travel from one "cultural grouping", such as black culture, to WASP culture. This is not possible, I think.

If one were to decide to become Han Chinese, and if one were White, then I believe that it is possible to shift from one culture to another.

Also, I am thinking of Hakka Culture, which I have often thought of as some sort of equivalent of the Jewish experience, meaning a People without a Land.....

It is not so easy for Hakka People to become a completely integrated part of the main population of China.

image.png

So, culturally speaking, you can think of the Hakka People as being somewhat analogous to the Jewish People in the ME....

If you know much about the Hakka in Asia....
