22 hours ago22 hr Hi,I want to find a lawyer or estate planner in Bangkok to handle my Thai bank account after I die.I want the money to be transferred to the executor of my will in Canada.Any suggestions ?
21 hours ago21 hr You might need to write a Thai last will. Also, be aware that your estate will be handled in the country of primary residence when you die; so, if that is Thailand, it might all be handled by a Thai court.

A Thai will is only applicable to Thai assets. They have no legal authority over anything in other countries. You need a will in each country you have assets in.

The Hague Convention states: A will is generally recognized as formally valid across countries if it complies with the rules of the country in which it was made or where you had your residence or citizenship.
