Has anyone here ever had to present a Thai Visa Centre retirement extension to Immigration for another purpose (such as obtaining a Certificate of Residence, opening a bank account, or another Immigration service)? If so, was everything accepted without any issues?

A normal extension of stay based on retirement is sometimes needed as proof for bank account and other services based on having a long term-visa or permission to stay. I have no experience in the so-called Thai Visa Centre retirement extension.

For a residence certificate you will normally need to show your passport — which could have a stamp for extension of stay — a TM30 address notification receipt, and proof of your local address, for example rental agreement. Some immigration offices might require an application fee and additional proofs.

Thai Visa Centre will get you a certificate of residence. I'm not certain but I think they charge 1,000 baht. Banks don't care about your visa as long as it's the right kind. Basically any service that immigration offers, Thai Visa Centre can also do, although they will charge you.

I'd be surprised if a "Thai Visa Center" Extension stamp was distinguishable from any other Extension stamp, including doing it yourself at Immigration.

However, where you may have a problem is if they did your extension in another province & a TM30 hasn't been filed to move your address to the one that you want to get a Residency Cert for.

Might be best to check with TVC direct.

Which immigration office issued extension stamp.

yes,
been using Grace for a few years
no problems getting cor or re entry and after i get my passport back with new 1 year ALWAYS file a new tm 30 for Phuket

When u get ur new extension it has a tm 30 for that office ( FREE) and they do the 90 day (for free as well ) all included in extension price
every immigration knows which immigration issues said extensions... they dont care

i dont know why people comment if they dont know what TVC does

It should not be a problem as long as all the required documents are in order. Most clients simply contact our team, and we handle the process on their behalf and mail the certificate to them.

We do not need your physical passport for this. Clear digital copies are sufficient. If you are already our client, we may already have these on file, so we would only need a few additional documents.

Please message our team and ask about the requirements. Also, let us know why you need the certificate, as this may affect the documents required.

They've never sent me a tm 30 and always charge 500 baht to make a 90 day report.

My main concern is whether the visa TVC prepars is ligitemate and will not cause a problem if presented to an immigration officer. I do know how they send the passports to immigration branches up in Isan, so it's questionable whether the stamps are real stamps that will not cause a problem with immigration. The reason I have my visa done through TVC in the first place goes back to problems caused by the Covid BS, since then I've been using them, and because they have a good reputation.

I just don't want to go to an immigration office the get a Certificate of Residence, then the officer notices something sketchy, which will cause me a problem.

Visa agents are not responsible for the TM30, that is for your landlord/house owner /hotel/ or if you own the condo, where are you living? have they done the TM30? does this show you living in Bangkok? done your 90 day reports in Bangkok? you say your agent does the 90 day reports, what office is stamped on these 90 day reports?

What i can say is if you have an extension of stay that has been issued outside Bangkok then CW look closely at any applications. This is not just about fake stamps, but they assume an out of Bangkok stamp means you do not there, but live in Bangkok and have used an agent to get round the money in bank.

If you're renting and require a COR ,and the TVC visa is from another province, then you'll need the rental agreement, copy of the Tabien Baan, and a copy of the owner's Thai ID card, then TVC will sort it for a fee.

to get a 1 year extension at any immigration office you need show ur staying in that area that , that immigration deals with

Hence they need file a tm 30 BEFORE immigration will issue the 1 year exetsnion
why is that so hard to understand?
when u get a new 1 year extension i have Always gotten the first 90 day report included in the fee
