Hi, I'm australian and will be coming to thailand for 43 days.

I will be going to laos and burma in that time but just crossing

the borders when I get there. ie no docuementation.

Will I need to get a tourist visa? I'm concerned that when get to

the airport that it'll be a problem because i'm staying longer

than 30 days. Does it cost money to re enter thailand?

You may never leave Oz if you don't get a visa as the requirement is onward ticket within 30 days for obtaining a 30 day visa exempt entry to Thailand and airlines can refuse to allow you to board. If you have air tickets out of Thailand to these countries within the first 30 days you should be safe. Otherwise it would probably be a good idea to obtain a tourist visa before you travel just to avoid any problem.

You will need to pay for visas to visit Laos and Burma but you can use 30 day visa exempt entry back into Thailand at no charge.
