It’s the low IQ that’s the give away, usually a number much above the ambient temperature, which is why I suspect they so frequently get behind increasing global warming.

Given opening post's quality, either Harvard's academic standards dropped to level of Central Africa or the OP couldn't point to Harvard campus on the map of Cambridge.

Nice cute post... but Europe is screwed because it can't control illegal immigration and limit it to the useful types with something to offer. The end will be slow and painful.

Why should Canada hide it? Countries around the globe are re-arranging their trading relationships so they can deal with reasonable people, not someone who is as mad as a cut snake.

Quite the opposite, if anything Trump has forced Carney's hand into making Canada infinitely stronger, and over a period of time America will be begging for its products again. Carney is creative an

I am offended by the racism expressed in this post.

Too long, didn't read. 🤦

What does this mindless tweet have to do with the topic? Is this a lame attempt to hijack this into an antisemitic topic?

Well if we regard it as a "mindless tweet", and we regard the OP as setting the bar, both with the original post and his subsequent offerings, then one has to say that the bar is remarkably low!

Understand what you're saying, and it wasn't intended that way. It was to highlight the contrast between the quality of the post and the poster's forum name, by pointing to some of the worst education systems in the World.

Instead of Central Africa, it should have been Honduras.

Countries with the Worst Education Systems

  • Cambodia (1.0), El Salvador (1.0), Myanmar (0.8), and Honduras (0.6) rank as having the worst education systems in the world.

  • Lower-ranked countries often face challenges such as limited access to schooling, lower literacy rates, underfunded education systems, and barriers to consistent student attendance and completion.

That said, it is not the fault of people to be born in country that has shoddy education system. You can't pick your parents before you're born.

UK and Australian literacy rates are equivalent at 99%. Admittedly we don't know how to pronounce Cholmondeley, Featherstonehaugh , Marjoribanks, Worcestershire and Leicester. Only anally-retentives would.

Naughty BMT, trying to stir the possum. You're coming the raw prawn.

It could be AI bots too. There should be an AI slop button like other sites have implemented.

Sorry I missed this post. Reread your post and tell me how it all can't be said about Canada too.

Point being, Canada is the same as Europe and Australia except they are too close to us

More of a national security issue than Greenland and trump is aware of this. He will be airlifted the wall he built with Mexico and he will be placing it on the northern border instead because Latinos love trump now

Did you get a doctorate in comedy from Harvard? Because the remaining 2 years, Trump will be a sitting duck, and this if he even is allowed to stay.

He's likely not a Harvard graduate. People with very good diploma don't feel the need to advertise it on an expats forum! 😃

That is fabulously incorrect, Canada can find a replacement for every single one of its precious commodities, but the US cannot live without Canada. Just wait and see, Trump has screwed America over royally.

Yes, I mean from the outset why did Trump go after Canada so hard and at all? The vast majority of the so-called trade deficit with Canada is because of all the energy the US buys, and very much needs (oil, gas, electricity). Otherwise, the trade figures are relatively even. As far as I am aware, he isn't complaining about the price of those commodities. So booze bans? Really? Or the decades-old auto-pact (where both countries produce American vehicles and parts on both side of the border) an arrangement the US automaker HQs WANT to keep given it would take decades to replicate entirely in the US? Softwood lumbar to build housing - US doesn't have enough - okay that's something to discuss. But steel and aluminum that both countries make? They ship them back and forth across the border as needed. So what is it? He wants to steal all the minerals and the potash for farmers? Is he secretly after all the fresh water? Or does he just have some dope like Lutnick bending his demented ear and so Trump says, ok, ok.

It seems that many of you have not followed the Canadian news for the last 11 years.

In 2016 Trudeau signed a trade deal with von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission. CERTA has never been implemented because 11 EU countries refused to ratify the deal unless Canada was dismantling its 80 marketing boards (supply management organizations to protect Canadian farmers) on agricultural products. These boards subsidy farmers by taxing the Canadian customer and raising fees and duties on all agricultural imports.

During Trump first mandate all trade agreements failed for the same reason.

These marketing boards favour mostly Québec and Ontario.

Before the last round of negotiations mid-August the Premier of Québec Christine Fréchette told publicly to Carney: “You don’t dare touch or negotiate our marketing boards in Washington”.

Most dairy, poultry, meat products and cereals are the monopoly of Agropur, Saputo, Maple Leaf, Cargill, Andjelic, Monette Farms, Avenue Living, etc…all located in Ontario and Québec and Midwest for cereals.

No PM had the guts to remove these boards because Ontario and Québec have more Liberal MPs than any other province and the Bloc Québécois with its 21 MPs can put the government in minority.

Trump has reiterated a few times he won’t deal with Canada while these barriers exist.

Meanwhile 40 million Canadians are subsiding 150,000 farmers.

Trump does not need Canada since Mexico became the first trading partner in 2023 with US$263 billion of exchanges.

Many corporations are relocating to the US (517 hi-tech firms since 2015), the last major one in the timber industry Interfors moved its headquarters from BC to Atlanta.Canada has lost the battle.

CETA has not been ratified by 10 EU member states, however it is operational.

In effect, 99% of Canada's exports to the EU are tariff-free.
