Bangkok bank FTT credit advices letters

Featured Replies

I want to change my deposit requirement for my non o marriage visa from 400k to 40k monthly deposits . If I understand correctly all I need is a full 12 months of 40k Thai baht deposit 12 months in a row, Then before apply ask Bangkok bank to provide 12 months of credit advices fet transfers. Is there anything I am missing? I read it will take Bangkok bank 3 to 5 business days to request these from there HQ.

You would need to show 12 monthly transfers of 40k+ prior to application.

FTT is a code showing international transfer.

The transfers might be coded that way and that's sufficient.

Suggest check with immigration office that they will accept income method for marriage extension without embassy letter.

Yes BBL will take few days to provide 12 month bank statement.

The key thing is asking your immigration office before you decide to start down this road. There are immigration offices that do not accept proof of monthly transfers for marriage extensions, and limit you to embassy letter or payslips from a work permit job in Thailand.

OP, above post from Brandon is spot on and why I posted above to check with your immigration office.

By way of example my understanding is CW will not facilitate income method for marriage extension without embassy letter or work permit.

I give the teller the date of the transfers and they give me the credit advice slips a few minutes later. You have to wait for a 12 month statement.

How is it that immigration rules regarding monthly income are able to be ignored by certain offices ?.

Credit advice is not the only option. When I made a transfer my bank would automatically post a remittance advice to my account. I just downloaded those and wrote on them date received and amount in THB. I have a separate account and the 12 month statement only has 24 lines, 12 in and 12out. Used to sit and watch the IO flick through them and tick off on the statement, all very straightforward.

The remittance advice also takes away any doubt on source of funds but may not be readily available for all transfers.

Yes, I was wondering that as well. There'd be a bit of 'desk thumping' going on if our local office tried that one on. Not by me. By my wife!

They are not ignored. Each immigration office has the authority to interpret the rules as they see fit. So if one office decides that "monthly income" for a marriage extension means it has to be from a job in Thailand, they are free to do so.

The same way some immigration offices interpret monthly income for a retirement extension to mean it must be strictly from a pension or government benefit, and cannot be from savings.

65K, not 45K

This post is about marriage extensions, not retirement.
