Fire Chief with Khet Udomsak Subdistrict Municipality, Sattahip, has died, prompting tributes from colleagues, friends and those who knew him. Sombat Sriatsadon, affectionately known as “Phi Neng”, was remembered for his dedication and willingness to help others.

Tributes described Sombat as a person who devoted both his physical strength and his heart to assisting people throughout his service. Colleagues said his commitment to helping others had been a defining part of his work as a firefighter and rescue worker.

A funeral announcement has invited relatives, colleagues and friends to attend the traditional water-pouring ceremony and Buddhist funeral chanting held in his memory. The ceremonies will provide an opportunity for those who knew and respected Sombat to pay their final respects.

Tributes described his passing as the end of a long mission of service, with colleagues wishing him a safe journey and peaceful rest. Messages of condolence concluded with expressions of love and deep sorrow for “Phi Neng”.

Neng collapsed at the fire station when on duty at the weekend. He died at 23:23 on 31 August 2026.

To my friend and brother in fire, your life was too short, your service exceptional, may you rest in peace.
