Guy reporting on what Jomtien requires and that is no update of TM30 if returning to ongoing address.

I have posted that the requirements are immigration office specific.

Also posted that if I have any business with immigration as I will Oct 7 (annual extension) I will obtain new TM30 to provide immigration (most likely not even asked for)

Curious. If and When I go out of province to a hospital for a 3 or 4-day treatment do I have to submit a TM30 on my return? I am not sure the hospital will submit a TM30 while I am in the hospital.

The IO is located Up Country. I would have no dealings with the office unless I have to report a TM30 after the hospital admission and arriving back home

I'd daresay whether or not your hospital files a TM30 notification is hit and miss, depending on how familiar that particular hospital is with catering to foreigners and what their local immigration office has told them to do. Hospitals aren't exempt from TM30 reporting, so by law, they are required to do this for their foreign in-patients.

I recently spent 6 nights in Pattaya.

The hotel did the photocopy of pp.

(interestingly also current permit stamp)

Did they do a TM30? Most likely.

Did I do a new TM30 when back home in Bangkok? Hell No.

Will I do a new TM30 prior to my going to CW for extension Oct 7? Hell Yes

If your not permanently changing your residential address, or returning to the same residential address as previously registered, then there should be no requirement to refile a TM30.

That’s the problem, inconsistency, I was at Jomtien and asked if a TM30 was required after been abroad even though I was returning to the same address, the answer was yes.

I enquired at a well known Visa Office, if you only leave for a short period TM30 not required.

My IO wanted to see my TM 30 when I did 1st 90 day report after reentry and at annual retirement extension.

As for weekend IO closure, just tell them that you arrived home the day before you go there.

I was employed then and my employer handled everything.

Once I did not got. was fined 1800 baht when I went to do my yearly retirement papers.A copy was also sent to the police.

I understand now, my wife can fill in the online papers for Landlord, and then I report online using her as the landowner. So far so good. But you never know.

If you never have to go immigration it’s not a problem, if you do they no if a TM30 has been done or not.
