An Aussie who can answer a pom's quiz.

I hope Scampi will not get too depressed.

Another Pom's belief going down the drains.

One after another, that hurts,... :D:D

Come on, be realistic woman, whatever's the matter with you?!. :(:):o

as it seems I am the only ONE :) , I would say my chances were pretty good. If a pom was to be smart, he would now correct any of my answers and copy the rest... :D

BTW, no union jack bandana Lovely, ll bring you a new one. :D

I just can't believe this... I just can't believe all you soapdodgers have let me down. And now pretty good chance I'm going to have a date with an Aussie. Let me rephrase that, a married Aussie. I'll ask admins to keep this quiz run for ever, until a pom can get it all correct.

So, Torny, I'll just hold on to my Union Jack for a little while. I have faith. :o

And here I was trying to figure out which THAI letter to remove from Patpong to make the name of another nightlife hotspot in Thailand. Doesn't work.

Sorry to burst your bubble Tornado, but i'd already submitted my answers to Scampi via PM and he'd confirmed that they were 100% correct.

Your still safe LC, well safe from them... not from me... :o

:o sorry do not believe you, but I was gonna give my winnings to Dr P P anyway as I will not be here. I would not have given the "prize" to a soap dodger or even half of one :D

I knew that I liked you Tornado. With LC's new chest it sounds like lots and lots of fun. I won't wash for a few days and she might think that I am a ' dodger '

Chest of drawers? :o:D

Well Torn, let's see how you did...

ANSWERS

1: You take the second 'P' out of Patpong to make 'Patong' but unfortunatly for you buddy, you just put 'Patong' so no marks, sorry. :D

2: Yep, Seacon Square is possibly the largest mall in S.E. Asia but definatly the biggest in LOS.

3: FBT - Yes you can have that, whatever it was you put. I would have accepted Football Thailand also.

4: Wrong!!! Ha ha ha! Everton is the odd one out, Mr T as yet has to show interest.

5: Where was The Beach filmed? If somebody else had said Maya Bay, I wouldn't have let you get away with Phi Phi, but it's close enough.

6: Well done, Bryan Ferry it was.

7: You didn't stop and think did you Torn... Since when has Mr T been involved in fast food? He's the second richest man, the No.1 richest man in Thailand is that bloke who owns Chesters Grill and Orange Telecom but I don't know what his name is.

8: Bluecat, Splitlid, Tornado - that was hard.

9: Mass Rapid Transport Authority of Thailand, yep, that sounds about right, I didn't actually know myself.

10: Well done, was that a guess? Say them all in Thai and they all sound identical except Pork and Dolphin. (2)

11: Monkey Island... was that your original answer? :D

12: Asoke (a sock)

13: It's Cannon not Pentax, that was a guess wasn't it.

14: Ownership. The red & blue taxis belong to a taxi company but the yellow and green ones are privately owned by the driver. Don't know about the white and red ones but that wasn't in the question anyway was it. There's more colours than jellybabies these days, I went an a completely orange brand new one last week which was nice, anyway, moving on...

15: Skull - Howakalog (you didn't get that) Electricity - Fai Faa and Shark - Shalaam. (you got those ones, but only because your missus told you)

16: I have to let you have this really because I was thinking of the Casino at Poi Pet, but you're right there is also a Grand Diamond hotel in Bangers. Fair play.

17: I've actually forgotten but I did know who it was when I wrote the question. Yeah, <deleted> it, I think it was John Howard who went jogging in Lumphini so you can have that I suppose. :o

18: Cambodia.

19: Chonabot, George, Dr Pat Pong, Huski.

20: Which direction is Ari? ...No mate it's north, I'm pretty sure it is, I don't have my BTS pass on me but I'll eat one of my hats if I'm wrong. :D

21: U.S. LOS and U.K. have their flag colours in common yes, however, this wasn't your original answer and you've changed it since I told you on the phone which is cheating.

22: Whitney Houston???? She's a singer not an actress, just cause she was in that dire film with Kevin Costner doesn't make her an actress. It was Richard Gere who was recently in Mung Yong Thani for that AIDS thingy.

23: Trafalgar Red and Siam are squares.

24: It's no secret that George likes Chang.

25: What? I don't think so mate... Scampi is prawns in breadcrumbs commonly served with chips, peas and tartar sauce in nice English pubs...

So much for your Google search.

Anyway, well done - at least you had a go. :D

Don't like to knick pick, but lil Johnny Howard is a power walker, not a jogger.

Wow, just thought of a new answer to what makes me cringe in Thiland :o

Am I safe from all those sheep shaggers now?

I'm going to get my Union Jack bandana.. :o

I'm terribly sorry LC, but Tornado will not be able to accompany you to The Soapdodgers Ball as he is not only an Aussie, but will not be available this weekend.

However, I have managed to get you both tickets to The Sheepshaggers Shindig in October. :D

Posted

The answer to 21 is surely that they all have bloody awful political leaders, either Prime Ministers or Presidents.

Posted

LC you were worried for nothing you need a little geography session and some tittilating on your spelling as it is:

Sheep Shearers from Australia &

The gumboot brigade "sheepshaggers from NZ

So if it was shorn you were after then Australia it would be, but if it was shagging ewe were after then the Land of the Long White cloud you be bound.
