I know of a condo in Jomtien (off of Soi 7) that has some of the most dangerous lifts anywhere. One day I was inside one of them and looked down and could see nothing but rust and holes in the bottom, especially around the edges. It was scary. The owners decided to "fix it." So they took some kind of tile-like material and put it on the bottom so that you could no longer see the rust and holes. In other words, they decided not to fix it. It is an accident waiting to happen.
