Digi, Vdo And Computers

Featured Replies

Ok, I'm going to give it a try.

I have a Olympus SP-500UZ (6 mln pixels, 10X).

Today I made a small VDO of the dogs and loaded it up on the computer. So far so good.

When I wanted to watch it on the computer, it didn't recognize the file (.MOV).

Then, I thought 'what the heck' send it anyway by email, big change that the person at the other side of the line does know a lot more about cyberspace stuff than I do. Sure enough, also that didn't work as the file is 44.5 MB and i can only send 10 MB max.

So, my two questions are:

1. How to change .MOV into .jpg or, is this possible anyway

2. Once I managed that, how to make the file small enough that I can send it (also if that's possible)

Anyone who can help me out? Will be much appreciated.

P.S. Please explain in simple English as I do not speak cyberspace language :o

Thanks Mozikillah. Your help is much appreciated. :o

I assume you are on windows. If so just install quicktime (or even better quicktime alternative) and you'll be able to view the .mov files.

Google quicktime alternative--it's a free download and is excellent.

Thanks Jimmyd, I'll give that a try.

I have so little knowledge of computerstuff that I'm very reluctant to download anything. Way to afraid for virusses. But as both you and Mozikilla advise the abovementioned sites, i assume I won't have any problems.

Thanks again for your kind help, :o
