Is Saturday a good time to go it Immigration to renew my 1 year retirement visa for are they just as crowded as any other day?

Spaniel, you can always call that immigration inquiry line +1111 24 hrs.

They can actually be helpful about basic questions such as this.

I want to say Suan Phlu has limited Saturday service maybe 08:00-12:00?

It seems like I remember then only doing re-entry permits on Saturday or

some other partial workload. Tried looking on immigration.go.th , I can't

even find the office hours on that website anymore. That's all I know. :o

found it on the website:

Office hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 - 16:30

Closed on Saturday, Sunday and OFFICIAL HOLIDAYS

that info could be 2-3 years old though, better call.

Spaniel, Just out of curiosity I called the +1111 immigration inquiry line this

morning, twice. The English speaking operator I got this time could not answer

the question "Is Suan Phlu open Saturday?" both times I was put on

interminable hold while apparently, more skilled translators were summoned.

As usual, the only timely, accurate info we have trickles in from members

who are kind enough to to offer some feedback after their adventures. :o

For anyone using this method it is my understanding that 1111 is the government hot line and is not a direct connection to Immigration - you will have to ask the operator for Immigration.

Good question. I had called the hotline and was told they were open. Our 90 days were over and we had to make our appearance there. Yes, they were open, but it was not possible to do the 90 days registration. That, and many other things, are only possible when immigration is fully staffed, and this is Monday - Friday.

I was so frustrated that I did not even ask WHAT was possible to do on Saturdays (I think if you lost your passport or such).

Immigration at Suan Phlu is open on Saturday mornings just for re-entry visas.
