Can I Get A New Non-immigrant 'o'?

Featured Replies

I will be making a trip to Ireland in December.

I will still have about four months left on my 1 year non-o.

Will I be able to to get a new one anyway?

I want to have 15 months when I come back without having to 'think too mutt' about visas.

If you can obtain a non immigrant O visa it should be available with a current visa (although they may cancel the old one).

I want to have 15 months when I come back without having to 'think too mutt' about visas.

I called the Hull consulate and asked that very question last week - answer - Yes.

They said they will not actually cancel the existing one, but it doesn't matter because when I enter Thailand next time there will be

two current Non-Immigrant "Os" in my passport but by the time time I do the next trip, I'll just have the one.

It's the all important entry stamp that decides how long you can stay apparently and, as long as you have a current Non-Imm O, you should

get 90 days when you enter.

At least, that's what they told me and what I've gleaned from this Forum! :o
