I find it disturbing that grown men are still experimenting with such powerful, life-changing substances. I have friends from the extreme sports world who struggle with PTSD and other mental health challenges. Some have tried ayahuasca, and while it seems to help for a while, many eventually fall back into old habits. Some go even further down a dark road and never seem to find their way back, constantly chasing the experience they once had. It also seems to change some of them. They drift into more extreme alternative lifestyles and begin treating life as if it isn’t quite real. But it is. In the end, they seem to get stuck between two worlds.
