You never had the experience, as a child, of listening to klan members talk about how much they hated black people and republicans then. I never did understand why people could hate others so much. I also learned very quickly what questions to not ask the hateful people and what kind of lies to tell them to prevent them from venting their vitriol towards me. But, then there was that day, when my grandmother was close to killing a klan member with my grandfather's shotgun. There after, I was known as the boy whose grandmother was going to kill a klan member and there was a small general store I knew not to go back to, ever again! -

Echoed my thoughts when I saw the news. I asked two Thai people who looking at the same and you'll never guess what they said to me...TIT. Ha, I had to laugh. They also said that they didn't know why he was allowed to do this. I'll keep an eye open to see if any news programme explains it. -

Sure Turkey had been tacitly allowing ISIS to ship oil, had been funneling refugees through the country to send them on into the EU. Still Donald Trump never met a authoritarian psycho strong man he did not like. When Erdogan called, he jumped & obeyed. Erdogan got all he wanted plus a boot licking. That is setting the bar extremely low for anyone, let alone a person with a spine. -

There has been example of part-time teacher elevated to Prime Minister in your definition of "free world", happened not that long ago either. Yes, Family name and family connection do matter. She got the Prime Minister position because of family name and family connection. So was Canada Justin Trudeau ( once part-time teacher ) in 2015. So was Philippines Marcos Jr in 2022. BTW her rise to the top post had been in accordance to al rules and laws of Thailand. -
