I don't know if it is me but I don't seem to get any joy with the search engine. Anyway in between phone calls yesterday I saw mention of cycle tours in Bangkok on BBC World. I wonder if anyone has done this - their experience and the contact details would be much appreciated.

Cheers BB

a friend of mine has a great cycling company based in bangkok. called Grasshopper Adventures, they run cycling tours all over asia. if you are into something REALLY different, they ran a unicycle trip through vietnam (i think) last year.

google them. they are a very good company.

In May this year I went with these guys http://www.realasia.net/BangkokBike.htm well, looked after and we had a great time... until that is, I fell off the bike, from a height of about 1 metre, into a swamp!!!.. I managed to laugh about it despite being covered in the most smelly mud you can imagine!! Unfortunately my camera did not survive the dunking but my insurance replaced it when I got home. It's a good trip, very interesting and well run... just make sure if you haven't ridden a bike in a long time to get some practice in beforehand.... as they say ''it's as easy as falling off a bike''!!!

There are some good bicycle tours of bkk

Co van Kessel is good, they take their time and go to some interesting places. They cruise through Chinatown, I always see them around Saphan Poot.

I've done a couple of tours with Spice Roads, based in BKK. They have a couple of tours in or close to BKK as well as a number of tours around Thailand and SE Asia. Well organized tours at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
