Which Internet Package Is Better?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to know any forumers here who has subscribed to any internet plans in bangkok and how fast is it when surfing oversea sites. As i am still choosing the right internet package plan for myself. Ais, true????

Thanks

See? If you ask silly questions, people will just ignore you ..... :o

I could care less about surfing, I have important things to do with my internet! I have the most expensive package from true at my studio (2200 baht a month) I am very happy that I can download a 7gig game in less than 4 hours, so that is good. However I pay 900 baht at my condo and for the past month my online game WOW has periodically been lagging so bad I could barely play and this is truly unacceptable. I am asking them to let me get my own line. Opening web pages has always seemed adequate.... but I never paid attention to such mundane uses! haha

Damian, that's probably because:

1. Your net line is shared, so your paying 900b a month is not a huge discount... the condo is ripping you and other people off and profiting off the net bills that you pay.

2. WoW has been lagging to unplayability for me, and I've got the same net package on a private line. I'm getting 1.5-3k latency on the Underbog server, looking to worldshift somewhere with hopefully less lag. (Playing on my Playstation and Single-player games now while thinking of a solution. :o )

3. For surfing, I don't think high bandwidth is really much of an issue, assuming you've got a 512kbps package and above.

I'm on True, if this is of any relevance.

As for the OP, read this forum, or search. There are more than enough posts/threads on your topic that adequately answer the question.
