Thai School Cancels Field Trip After Tragic Bus Fire Incident
Indeed. It's disheartening how little people seem to care for their kids' safety until a tragedy like this happens, and then totally overreact. -

Field trips don’t hurt students, poorly-maintained transport does : PM
There are kids on buses going for excursions almost every day of the school year all across Thailand. This incident which yes is a tragedy and yes poor maintenance probably played a part doesn't detract from the fact that this is an isolated incident. As for going to school being "fraught with danger" tell me it's not the case that just getting to and from school isn't dangerous in and of itself. I will bet my bottom dollar baht that more kids have died going to or from school (more than likely on a motorcycle and helmetless) than have died in bus crashes/fires whilst on school excursions. -

Field trips don’t hurt students, poorly-maintained transport does : PM
Exactly what I said to the Wife this morning. I told Her about the hammers for the windows as She said the reports say they could not break the windows, also no emergency exit at the back where a dead teacher was found holding two or three children. So very sad that money comes before safety. Also, how long will these "inspections" last. I remember when they made it compulsory for buses to have seat belts, and I would put my pension on probably less than 20% are either still fitted, or in working order. -

V P Debate
'Singular correct answer'? That's rich. And, where exactly did I tell you 'there was no cheating, no smurfing, no ballot irregularities'? Every Presidential election has some irregularities. It's a given when you are dealing with millions of voters and ballots. Did the number of irregularities effect the outcome in 2020? No--and I'm not the only one who believes this. A strong case could be made that Florida election irregularities did cost Gore the election in 2000. If anyone has an election beef, it's Gore, not Trump. That was a very close election, with Florida, and all its election problems, the deciding state. Not the case with 2020. Biden won by 7 million votes. A landslide. That Trump could even suggest that he won with his Big Lie is ludicrous. Somewhere, on one of the innermost rings of Hell, Hitler and Goebbels are having a good laugh.- 1

Hillary Clinton Warns of Upcoming Misinformation Targeting Kamala Harris
It only takes two things, listening to what Trump says or do not say, and common sense! He is a nut case, period!
