Thailand can have him, he will fit in well with all the other perverts. With that amount of money the Thai authorities will be well pleased.

It's statement like this on a public forum that really disappoint me to the supposedly educated better half of the world.

But the poster seems to be Irish, of French extraction (or vice versa).

So where is the 'educated, better half of the world'?

One finds drongos in all countries and evidently on most forums (or fora / forae??)

I thought he couldn't get entry into Thailand having a criminal record?

I am sure that I read somewhere that having a criminal record in your own counrty procluded you from staying in Thailand.  :o

(6) Having been imprisoned by the judgement of the Thai Court; or by a lawful injunction; or by the judgement of the Court of foreign country, except when the penalty is for petty offense or negligence or is provided for as an exception in the Ministerial Regulations.

Extract from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.....Visa section...........In theory he shouldnt be allowed in.

but maybe rape is a petty offence in LOS ?  :o

What the <deleted> is that supposed to mean? :D

Get use to it if you are going to continue to read this board. There are a few here who will make comments that offends rather than provide anything constructive.

This is a bit off the 'Thai' topic, but deals with this thread.

In the US the victims of this animal would be able to put together a class-action suit in the civil court for damages. Can a similar circumstance be considered in the UK?

Not just the direct victims, but family members also. I understand that he attacked elderly women, has been jailed for many years. Therefore the direct victims may be senile or dead now.

As he had little or no assets when the crimes were committed (I assume), or prospect of gaining such assets, there would have been no point in wasting the time of the court in seeking damages, either compensatory or punitive. But now that he is rolling in the stuff - surely some bright (or greedy) (or both) lawyer could come up with a positive argument.
