arriving to thailand on the weekend
My friend will stay to his friend's house and they will go to report his stay at his local immigration when it will open again, after songkran. It's not his fault if immigration is closed on weekends and on songkran. I don't think they would fine him for reporting late as they are closed -

Samsung Washing Machines? And, appliances? Garbage compared to GE/Westinghouse/Maytag?
Dear Folks, I wish to provide an update, if you do not mind.... a. As some of you might know, I purchased a Samsung TOP-LOADER which was on sale for an extremely reasonable price. b. I have used this 16-Kg washing machine for several months. c. I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with it. d. I think that you really cannot beat it....FOR THE MONEY. e. The machine I purchased is very quiet, and it does its job quite well. f. Sometimes, I load it with 16 Kgs of all sorts of clothes and sheets, all added at random. g. In the past, using the Samsung machines I had used in the past, most of which were coin-operated machines, I developed a justifiably bad opinion. h. However, it would be truly unfair of me to not report that I have modified my opinion....now...based upon my good experience with the self-owned Samsung machine which I purchased. i. This Samsung machine is extremely low price. But, still, it does a good job at what it was engineered to do. j. I would be very willing to recommend this same Samsung to anyone, especially my friends. And, especially cost-conscious friends of mine. k. Here are some of the things that this machine does right.... 1. I can load this machine with 16 Kgs of clothes, and it handles this load quite well. 2. Extremely quiet, which is a big plus. 3. There are plenty of digital settings for all washing situations. 4. This cheap machine is still direct-drive, meaning NO belts to wear out. 5. The top lid of the machine is transparent. And, I like this, because I find it relaxing to watch the clothes churn back and forth. 6. The machine, itself, is aesthetically designed to fit any home laundry room. The machine I bought is a very nice subtle color of green, with dark gray panel. 7. So far, I have NOT experienced even one negative experience with this machine, something very rare of me. 8. Here is the machine that I purchased, which is super cheap....SUPER CHEAP...IMHO.... 9. I cannot say whether or not this type of machine might be right for your wife...but....so far: This machine is right for me. 10. Thank the gods I will never, again, be forced to use a coin-operated machine. This Samsung...if only for me....seems to be one of the best products I have purchased, this past decade. 11. Note: I only report the facts, and nothing but the facts, Folks. And, I try to do this without undue bias..... 12. For me, so far, this machine has been....A Winner. ============================== Also, anytime I get close to this machine, even when I am not especially in the MOOD to do washing...... She calls out to me.....and says....... START ME UP! I love you...... ============ This machine, at least for me, joking aside, has been a very good deal. Just reporting the facts, and nothing but the facts..... START ME UP.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ========== This machine will outlive me...but..... IF I lived to 100, then.... I would buy it AGAIN.....!!!!!!!!! Seriously LOW cost for the value.... Darn Right !!!!! Made a grown man cry..... -
