November 2, 200718 yr I live above a shop in Pattaya/Jomtien. The shop next door wants to store and sell gas bottles (approx 6ft in height). Is this legal and can I do anything about it? any help would be appreciated.
November 2, 200718 yr I doubt there's much you can do. If I were you I'd move. Another story from my murky past. Many moons ago I lived above a shop near Pratunam market in Bangkok - must have lived there for 2 years or so. Two months after I moved out, there was a massive gas bottle explosion in the shop downstairs which completely destroyed the building and a number of people were burnt alive. It was so bad it even made the foreign news. Similar incidences have occurred many times in the intervening years, but nothing much is ever done about it. I believe there are laws to regulate the sale and storage of gas bottles - but hey, this is Thailand.
