gzu88bv
A guy, over 50 and married to a Thai, approached me for a Single Non-O-Visa. He wants to go to the Surin Elephant Show later this month and then after that hop over to Poipet to get above visa. Does he stand a chance? What paperwork does he have to bring along? Is Poipet the closest border crossing? I am not familiar with that area and would certainly appreciate any guidance in respect of the visa itself and nearby border crossings. Thank you. lopburi3
No chance. The best he can do is a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp if he is from a country allowed that. To obtain a non immigrant O visa would require a visit to a Consulate outside of Thailand and normally several days.
astral
Poipet is a border crossing only. There is no Thai Consulate there to issue visas. The Thai Embassy is in Phnom Penh.
