Cheeseburger With Blue Cheese

I've been looking for a cheeseburger with blue cheese. Pretty much everything else is optional.

Where to go? Closest I've found is the Mad Max burger at Outback with blue cheese dressing, but it's pretty lame.

Anyone?

You would be lucky. Real blue cheese served in public in Thailand? Thais think it is the worst possible thing to eat ever. As they eat their fried jungle cockroaches in restaurants running with rats, they cannot understand why farangs find it so attractive.

I actually made two Thais eat some one day. In Thai language class, the students had to bring along the most revolting things they traditionally eat. I agreed to bring something along as long as both teachers sampled it. They didn't know I would be bringing blue cheese. You should have seen them squirm when they had to sample a couple of molecules of the stuff. Delightful! And I carried the smell around with me all day.

I suggest you buy some from any supermarket and take it with you to a hamburger place and serve yourself. But don't expect other Thai customers or the management to stay friendly for long.

my thai gf seems to agree with the general thai sentiment.

sigh. Looks like I'm doomed to carry a wad of blue in my pocket when seeking gastronomic delights of the hamburger.

Fine, but be prepared to walk alone.

Strange, these Thai women found the Blue Cheese Burger at the Dubliner to be great, and also attractive.

Not in the least bit strange. Jup was born in Japan and has a history of disliking Thai food according to her - she's also obviously very adventurous with her food. In any case have u seen the pic of the blue cheeseburger? The 'blue cheese' is a dressing, not the real thing - probably dressed to be edible to most people incl. Thais. It looks like puke and probably tastes like real cheese thrown up by someone in the bar earlier.

I don't mean to brag guys, but that was one of the first things I ordered as soon as I got back to the states. Hmmmm, haven't had one in a while, maybe I'll go have one today, in celebration of this thread :D

Of course, I have to take an allergy pill now to eat chesse, but it's worth it :o

My country-girl tgf loves blue cheese. A large amount of crumbly blue cheese on a salad with some italian dressing....

...hmm, maybe I'll have to grill up a burger this weekend.

I did just look at a few on-line menus and the burger at the Dubliner does say it uses blue cheese dressing (which is best used to complement Buffalo wings).

Oh My Cod, Woodstock, Hard Rock all seem to have legitimate blue cheese burgers. I'd guess there are others. Imported blue cheese seems widely available here; I usually get it at Foodland, or Emporium. Would love to import a 2 lb Maytag wheel on my next trip.

Blue Cheese in Bangkok, wow, you're an optimist! I haven't been able to find an edible pizza in Thailand, and you're talking about Blue Cheese... good luck to you and keep us posted!
