i will arrive in los on 5.1. and stay till 29.2. can i do this with the 30 day visa on arrival and get a new one after 30 days or could i get problems as i have a two month ticket and then obviously no relevant visa so maybe the airline refuses me or at immigration?

would it be better to get the 60 day touristvisa?

thanks for your help :o

Yes. Without a visa and without an onward ticket out of Thailand within 30 days from arrival the airline is unlikely to let you check in for your flight.

The 30 day stamp that you refer to is a Visa Exemption stamp which is available to British passport holders

and many other nationalities.

As you clearly wish to stay longer you should obtain a Tourist Visa in advance.

There are several Thai consulates on mainland UK that can handle your application by post.
