November 14, 200718 yr Hi, I am very sorry if this question has already been asked.................... I am currently living in Thailand and I will be getting married to my Thai fiance in about 2 weeks. After this i will be applying for a settlement visa to the UK for her. I don't own any property back in the UK so my sister and her husband have said that we are more than welcome to live with them. What i need to know is what documents do i need from my sister and her husband to provide to the British Embassy in support of the settlement visa for my wife to be. I also need to know what documents need to be originals. My sister will also be providing plenty of photos of her house to show that it is suitable for two couples. I really appreciate any help and advice in this matter. Thanks
November 18, 200718 yr As far as possible, all documents should be original. Your sister and brother-in-law should provide a letter which states how big the house is, how may people currently live there, and that they are content for you and your wife to live there. They should also provide evidence of their ownership/rental of the house, in addition to a council tax/utility bill. I wouldn't bother with photos as they are of little evidential value. After all, the pictures could be of anyone's house. Scouse.
