Thai Line Breaking

Featured Replies

I am doing some research on Thai line breaking. I was wondering if a native thai speaker could send me a file with a few paragraphs in thai, with the line breaks marked. for example

I#would#really#appreciate#it#and#it#would#help#me#a#lot.

#And#may-be#also#use#a#sym-bol#for#the#words#that#can#be#hyphenated.

But in Thai instead of english...

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

This process is not as obvious as it appears. Thai is basically a mono-syllabic language which forms compound words in accordance with various protocols. In the above, I have not broken apart compound words nor separated noun indicators from their verb forms or words with the same meaning which are combined for emphasis, for example. I am not sure that this is what you want.

I found the above link and information it contains very helpful in the spacing and/or breaking of thai words/sentences.

While I am sure it is not foolproof, it provides some valuable insight.
