Positive:

On my lunch break I took a stroll through Central to grab some lunch. After a good nosh I still had time to kill so decided to check out the tech department. I remembered something that I had meaning to do for a while, and that was buy some new buttons for my i-mobile 612 that I had bought about 8 months ago and after heavy use had become a bit tatty. I had also dropped the phone last week which resulted in an iffy USB connector which needed checking.

Anyway, I found the i-mobile Samart shop and asked the smiling assistant how much it would cost to put things in order, she replied that it would be free of charge. I thought I had misheard what she had said, but after asking again she replied that it would be free of charge. I had bought the phone at MBK and didn't have the receipt but yes....still free of charge, and was told to come back in a couple of hours.

After work I went back to Central and picked up my phone which was now looking as it did the day I had bought it. Not only that, but she had also given me a brand new battery free of charge. A very nice experience that made me well happy :D

Negative:

I took my laundry to the coin-op next to my condo yesterday, on collection I noticed black stains on most of my clothes that were not there when they were put into the machine. It looked as though the machine had leaked oil into the drum.

I approached the assistant who was engrossed in some brainwash soap on the tv and presented the now ruined laundry to her. Here I got the typical shrug of shoulders and a few "Machine good, machine good" she continued watching the soap. I've been here here long enough to know when a battle is lost before it's even started, so I just said thank you very much mai pen rai, and left with my piss boiling inside me :o

Share one of your positive and a negative experiences that you've had in the last week.

Positive:

The counter girl at KFC let me give do the entire transaction in Thai rather than trying out her bad English as some kind of "cutomer servit".

Negative:

KFC in Thailand still isn't a patch on what you get in Malaysia. No biscuits or cole slaw makes it hardly worth the effort.

Positive: I had a KFC today, too - "number 4, large" (spicy wings, big French fries, big coke)

Negative: Couldn't finish the coke.
