Mora

One of many great songs by Maleehuanna (not very impressive visual content on this youtube effort though).

Sangjun by Maleehuanna.

The obligatory Carabao song - Khon Kep Feun. Great song and the only one I have ever thought of doing when caught in a trap unable to escape a karaoke mic.

And finally Bow Rak See Dam by Siriporn Umpaipong. There doesn't seem to be a video with this one though.

What a great thread... I have a thai song in mind which, when I hear it takes me to a happy place. Only wish I knew the name of it.

The only info I have is that it's basically taught in kindergarten, it's very old/rustic, it's about the sea/fishing/sailing, and there's certain arm movements that go with it.. like making the waves of the ocean with your arms...

Any geniuses out there that can answer this one with such sketchy info?? :D

Some words to it might be something like... "talay saen ngarm fa si kram sod sai mong hen rua bai laen yu nai talay" :o

Ooo, how dim have I been ? Never thought of you tube for Thai songs (doh) Nantida, Kor pen kon neung(let me be the one)for me, best get looking :o

Edit to say ...oh yeah found loads, nice one, thanks

Nice thread seonai... :o

Here's Chiangmai's own Lanna Cummins in catchy/country mode with 'Mai Ruk Mai Wah' (i like the old guy playing the lanna violin !)

and the equally catchy/pop'y sound of Pi Bird from way back (everyone should know this one by law)

one of Pang Nakarin's greatest. Everyone, after 3... "chun taung tum tum arai..."

Keep 'em coming...

:D

The song you are talking about (courtesy of my wife) is " Oh talay " which would be translated something like 'Oh the Sea'. Here are the lyrics with english translation.

The sea so beautiful..the blue sky is shining..

I've seen sailer...sailing in the sea.

want to go to the sea, i really want to go to the sea

you want to go to the sea so much..

walk on the beach.. walk til had cut myfoot by the shell

my blood is out from my lesion to the sea yea' yea

but i very happy cos i've been to the sea

Now i want the hammock so much

put it between the coco. sleep on the hammock let it paddle by the wind

hence i have a good dream...yea'...yea

( * )

want to go to the beach...No no cos my face getting black.

black because the sunlight have UV...

then put suntan cream on my skins. It good quality cos 2,800 Baht

Oey' can i borrow please....Vol'..vol

but now my stomach make a noise.. Oey' want to eat the seafoods.

my brother can i have the menu please...

Lobster, the big grill squids, Oyster How much is it?

Oey' Order stir fry - with basil leaf again....Vol'..vol..

( * ) ( Solo )

havy the sky, windy, and the stars. so happy.

Hi Bina,

Download some freewareprogram (I use no23Recorder) to record in MP3 or WAV directly from your soundcard.

Easy to do, just load the song then hit record and replay the song, this to avoid glitches in downloading).

Plenty of Thaimusic vids in the internet.

cheers
