New Vigo?

Featured Replies

Any idea who makes this, It looks as if it is based on the Toyota Hilux Vigo 4door pick-up and not a Fortuner. It has a mono-shell body and not an add on similar to a “carryboy”. It has a rear door that swings unlike the Fortuner which is a lift back.

I thought it could be Thairung but as I understand they only convert Isuzu based pick-ups.

Those back doors are custom made to fit the carryboy. They remove the tailgate, etc etc. Nice to have.

But this was not a carryboy. This was a single body and not a pick-up with a carryboy. There was no seam to indicate it was a pick-up but looked as a single body from front to back. It was longer than the fortuner and looked fairly ugly, it was obviously based on the vigo and my thoughts were Thairung had developed it just like their range is based on isusu.

Here is a close-up sorry the quality is not too good

Hi :o

Don't know about Toyotas but Thairung do Nissans as well - the "Exciter" series is based on Nissan pickup trucks. Also Carryboy does "full body" mods, they call it "Grand Carryboy", sort of competition to Thairung.

Best regards
