My parents are buying a house here in Thailand but it will go into my sons name as he has dual nationality, but they cant seam to open a bank acc without having a POXY WORK PERMIT. Is there any way around this problem.

From past members experiences it seems to vary largely between banks and even branches in the same bank. If you have a specific bank in mind then try different branches of it. Same with other banks you might want to try. Also, a NON-IMM Visa will probably give a better chance then a tourist visa.

For those holding a regular tourist visas the best chance is to ask for a corresponding recommendation letter of the embassy in the country where you apply for your triple entry visa. Then there should be no problem.

Yes it is.

Plenty of stupid banks/ bank managers in Thailand.

Banks that refuse money, (what a bunch of silly fools)

Go to the Kasikorn bank with your passport, no Wp needed

Your be all done in about twenty minutes.

Dress any way you like.

Yes, my 19 gram passport got heavy after I sat there holding it for 5 minutes... not to mention the weight of the Bic I had to sign several forms with. And I'll never recoup the 8 minutes I had to spend in the air-conditioned bank.
