Best Beach Restaurant On Kpg?

Featured Replies

It occurred to me today that I have not visited any of the resort eating establishments for a long time now, mostly I stick to the Thai places that I know have great food and a few farang restaurants run by friends of mine.

So although I get fantastic food and good company I don't get much in the way of scenery.

Which places do you like to eat whilst sitting in the shade of a palm tree with the waves lapping at the sand a few feet away?

The only one I can think of right now that I think has great food along with a great setting at a good price is the lakeside restaurant (the second one with the same name heading north) on the shore of the lake up past Seethanu.

I don't know how good their food is but have you ever been to Tom Yam Kung on the Hadrin road? The view is amazing!

Never been there but somebody else was talking about the place last week, how far south is it? Which side of the road?

Its in the hilly bit, obviously, maybe about halfway? Not far, its on the ocean side, you can't miss it.

Under Sky Restaurant on Thong Nai Pan Yai is some of the best seafood I have had in Thailand... not many people know about this place, it is small and run by a family that keeps to themselves, and is only open in high season, but I really recommend them.

*P.S. I also think Thong Nai Pan Yai is the best beach on the island, so it is a perfect setting.
