Organic farming is my main hobby and I have built my entire life around it more or less...I do it about 4 hours per day average I guess.....I spend whatever it takes....eventually I should be able to do it for free or even make some money....imagine that!!! a hobby that pays.

Fly Fishing is mine but somehow since living here in LOS I never seem to have the time, must be other distractions :o

BTW if there are any flyfishermen out there, any good fishing parks for fly fishing :D , its not as popular here as it is in the UK. Thai fishing consists mainly of sitting down in a hut, drinking, eating, sleeping and maybe occasionally jumping on the rod if it moves now and then. :D

I like mountain biking as well. Also have a rather costly mountain bike because in the long run it cost less and breaks down less frequently. I try to do around 300 km per month. I also recently got myself an enduro motorcycle and go on rides on the backroads with my friends. I live in northern Thailand.

Where in North Thailand? I am always looking for new places to ride if you like company occasionally. Most of the time i am riding in the relatively flat parts of Northwest Issan. What do you ride? I currently have a Cannondale Team Scalpel and a Gary Fisher HifiPro.

My hobby that has became my obsession.

Collect Stamps and snowdomes! Oh yeah I could have bought another truck with $$$$$ I have spent on them.

Make me :o and so proud tho when I have a moment seeing them as all the memories, love, hate, places, it's my journal.

That is interesting, seems like they would be difficult to find. Stamps can get expensive and challenging. :D

Learning to play the guitar. So far in 2 months I have spent 40,000 on a guitar some lessons and bits. The trouble is I love guitars far beyond my ability to play them so I am now looking at another 70-100K for guitars. Still keeps me out of trouble as I spend 20 hours a week trying (with little success) to master it!!!

For me….

- I love designing and building a custom one of a kind home for sale. This is the only hobby where I actually made some money off it. It’s quite a time consuming process but rewarding at the same time, and I usually do this only once every 2-3 years.

Otherwise I also like….

- stocks trading. Win some loose some, but I don’t think I’m very good at it.

- collecting stamps. Mostly are from the prewar, and during WWI, WWII era. Some of them worth a few thousand US dollar!

- I had done many paintings and drawings, but still never good at them either. Used to start out with a realism type, but always turned out to be some sort of an abstract at the end. So I had given up on them! All these art supplies are too expensive for me!

And….

Right now I enjoy reading the English historical romance books. So many authors to choose from, and I have learned so much about the European and American history. But lately more and more of them had turned out to be just no more than a trashy soft porn book!

Oh well…I can always donate them to the local library after I’m done! :o

Are we on the same snowdomes/snowglobes here? It is a plastic or glass dome containing water, surfactant, and debris resembling snow particles, with a scene or character at the center. It is a trinket, souvenir or knick-knack that is shaken to cause a whirl of debris which mimics that of a blizzard.

In some places/cities seem not know clue what snowglobe is such as Vietnam I could not find any from there. Of course US, UK, EU most of the places have it which I love spend a day wandering and looking for it.

And Stamps! Oh Goodness, tell me about it, like I said I could have bought another truck with those $$$$$ but .. this is a thing I can pass on to my love ones.

They are both mean a lot to me. My obsession. Don't every touch it w/o me being around!! Ha.

I've a mess of US stamps mostly from the 1920's to 60's. I plan on bringing them to Thailand in the future. I like the old autos and planes on them. I've a few from prewar germany that have unbelievable prices on them due to incredible inflation before Hitler took power, in the millions of marcs. Perhaps some trading can occur. Alas very few are unused. My favorite stamp is relatively new and Thai. Its huge and of the Kings boat from 7-8 years ago

Astronomy and Astrophotography; its dark sky's and little light pollution here so generally great for that

Motorcycling, not really a hobby but.

Relearning how to play the piano, my wife is starting from scratch but she has suddenly got keener than me, so I don't often get a look in on the piano we bought last year :o

Fishing, there is a huge reservoir near here, nobody goes there apart from an occasional local, and it's teeming with fish

When I was about 10 my dad got me started collecting stamps and he use to buy them for me. I remember he got me a whols sheet of raising the flag at Iwo jima. Since I never did much with them after I left home I finally passed them on to my oldest grandson about 15 years ago. Should check with my daughter and see if they have any idea of the value. I doubt if he still has them.

Anyone have any idea what a sheet of "Raising the flag at Iowa Jima" might be worth? That is back when a stamp cost 3 or 4 cents. :o

Of couse Thai stamps some could be really big and most of them are very beautiful. When I was young my folks got my sister and brother started and me the last to collect the used stamps when we got some mails (back in the days when there is no such 'electronic mails'). Years and years later they all gave up and passed every collection they had to me. I soon have learned how to become a pro collector, get new stamps and all gear needed. Easily spend $100 (and more!!!) once I step in the postoffice.
