I know

'If that is the case' == 'thaa[f] yaang[l] nan[h] ...'

'If thatis not the case ...' == 'thaa[f] mai[f] yaang[l] nan[h] ...'

The first sentence (basically meaning 'in that case') has a single word to mean that - 'ngan[h]'

I was wondering if the second (basically meaning 'otherwise') has a single word in thai also?

Example: You went to a shop and asked the price on 3 things. Then asked if they could write it down because 'otehrwise' you will forget it.

I could not think of any single word for 'If that is not the case ...' == 'thaa[f] mai[f] yaang[l] nan[h] ...'

Use it as ถ้าไม่อย่างนั้น 'thaa[f] mai[f] yaang[l] nan[h] ...' itself.

From Lexitron:

มิเช่นนั้น [mí chên nán ] [CONJ] otherwise

Syn.

[ang-grìt dtông bpòk bpông jòot née dûay chee-wít mí chên nán má-hăa am-nâat kŏng yóo-rôhp èun ๆ jà săa-mâat róok-raan in-dia dâi- sà-dùak]

The English must defend this spot with their lives; otherwise, the other European superpowers will be able to easily encroach on their (holdings) in India.

I would also add the particle "ko" after any of the above.
