Hi i am travelling to Phuket and i want to stay for 3 months, now can i enter the kingdom and just do a visa trip every 30 days to make my stay legal, i want to book my return flight before i leave london so bearing in mind the maximum stay is 30 days will i get into trouble by having no visa for longer and my flight tickets suggest i am staying longer...?

this may be a silly question if so i apologise in advance and appreciate any help on this many thanks

Yes, your certainly may not be let on the flight by the airline as they're worried Thai immigration would not let you in without a return ticket within 30 days. Just book the flight and see if you can change the date for a small fee later.

It depends upon the airline (to let you on) and immigration (to let you in).

You are supposed to have confirmed travel out of Thailand within 30 days in order to be eligable for a visa-exemption stamp (30 days).

If you don't have onward travel or a visa the airline may not let you board (you may get away with having a longer ticket). There seems to be little checking of onward travel at the airport but if you have my sort of luck you'll be checked.

Some land borders (particularly Cambodia) are definately checking, so you may run into trouble with your border runs for the extra stamps.

Why not get a single entry tourist visa, good for 60 days on entry which you can extend for a further 30 days by visiting immigration, you will then have zero issues with either the airline or immigration :o

You could do as Crossy says or you could obtain a single entry non immigrant visa which would get you stamped in for 90 days and you'd not have to bother going to immigration at all.

Or if you wanted, check out the London Thai embassy or Hull thai embassy websites, im sure you could get a 90 day visa for about 45quid, saves the border run ect and you dont need to show a return ticket, things could have changed in the last couple of years, but worth a look, good luck, Lickey..
