Flowers Festival In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I am looking forward to see flower fastival in Chiangmai. I knew that is coming February but could not find any information. Anybody have an idea?

It's 1-3 Feb.

I would imagine the usual display at Nong Buak Hat Park and parade on one of those days.

Cricks - it is going to be a busy fortnight.

February:

1-3rd - Flower festival

5th - Mardi Gras

about the 7th - Chinese New year

14-16th - International festival.

Where does the mardis gras take place?

And for a photographer, any tips where to go for the flower festival? And what times does it start?

Yesterday I email to Chiangmai Travel business association no one reply. I need some good place to photograph good shot for news agency to promote this event.

Mardi Gras is normally down night market road, Chang Clang Road - the road is closed (hopefully!)

i havent seen any signs promoting the mardi gras (in 2 weeks?) as yet. Last time they strung banners up across Changklan.

I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time but there was a mention on Thia Visa a few weeks back.

I haven't seen any posters either.

Shoot pictures anywhere along Charoenmuang Rd up Thape Gate is fine, the parade will stop up just across the Nawarat Bridge to greet the mayor so that is also an option.
