i am planning to apply for a retirment extension based on income, i have a non imm o single entry visa valid until 5th march it is a slow job getting documents here from two different pension schemes,one lot has already gone missing in the mail,i plan on actually applying at the end of feb about 10 days before current visa expires will this be ok or is there some sort of cut off time? i thinl i read somewhere that 21 days left on my visa is the requirment if this is so i shall have to put a rush on getting the docs together.

They like you to do it 3-4 weeks before your stay expires. Providing you have all the correct documents you should be OK.

Dont forget that you have to show your income proof to your Embassy to get a letter to give to Immigration.

There is no cut-off time if you have a non immigrant visa when you apply. Do was soon as you get the Embassy letter (with less than 30 day remaining); but it can be up until the last day allowed by your permitted to stay stamp.

thankyou both this has lifted the pressure very much,now i can go out for a gin and tonic or two without feeling guilty about wasting time
